His vision is pretty impressive too here. This is 2 years ago in FiBA18
This is where I like his shooting touch. FT is very smooth and release. He can definitely hit mid range and hit 2 3s with ease. I was surprised.

He’s a very good athlete with size and skill. His numbers at Baylor were solid and I haven’t heard anything about him being a problem. It seems odd how far he fell.I saw a lot of folks begging for Kendall Brown, and I personally didn't watch him play a second of ball. However, nobody took him until pick 48. For a hyped kid who was a 5 star recruit, that's unusual. Suggests to me there may be a few chinks in that armor.
Youtube highlight videos don't count as "film".I'm kind of shocked. Pretty much everyone who commented on this pick last night said he had no offensive game, he would be at best an energy big/defensive blocker/rim runner. Not one mentioned that he has great shooting form on free throws, fade away shots, and from behind the arc. He can pass and dribble too.
It's almost like the majority were pulling their comments right out of their asses having never watched any film at all. But I know nobody would ever do that, right?
He's actually blocked every shot that anyone has taken against him too. I need to check, his teams must have won every game, right? This guy has not missed a shot in the highlight videos I’ve seen.
Moses Brown is a nice stopgap but he has no ability to switch onto quicker players. According to the Cavs braintrust Diop has quick enough feet to be more switchable on defense. Take that for whatever it's worth.Youtube highlight videos don't count as "film".
Anyway… I don't really have a strong opinion on Diop at this point. He doesn't seem awful but apparently has stone hands and is another non-shooting big, AND Moses Brown already exists, so…
I saw some people mentioning his jump shot earlier.. where can we find that vid? I’ve seen him take one baseline jumper in the videos I’ve watched and it was flatter than what planet Earth is in Kyrie’s mind
Scroll up to JJ's post and there's 2 clips. It's a minute sample size but even that shows that the kid has some skills. Good free throw form, good form on his jumper, good arc, very fluid shooting motion. He has a fade away in some other clips as well.I saw some people mentioning his jump shot earlier.. where can we find that vid? Shooting motion has some good bones to it, needs some work, but for a young raw prospect, he has a lot to like.Scroll up to JJ's post and there's 2 clips. This shows the kid knows what it feels like to be on the short end of a 30 point ass-whupping.Dunno which video you saw, but here's USA v. Senegal from last summer. There's a series of shots from him starting at 1:30.or so.
