2022 Season | Series #23 | Red Sox @ Guardians | June 24-26

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Perhaps we won't wait until the seventh today.

Amed walks, moves to third on a double down the LF by JRam.

Franmil didn't feed Jobu his chicken.

A grounder scores Amed.

Andres pops to center.

Better than nothing, but not by much.

We're going to win this game.....

We're going to win this game!!!

With this lineup, against a team from the east, even a 2 run lead seems insurmountable.

For whatever reason our teams as a whole seems to lack inner confidence playing against the top tier teams like Red Sox and Yankees. It shows in body language. Hopefully we get some mojo back in the next series. So now I'm going to vent a little.

I'm done with Clement. I'm sick of seeing his weak ass bat in the lineup against every LH pitcher. He might be a good utility infielder but we lose some range with him in the outfield compared to our other options. To me he is a hole in the lineup.

Miller is becoming a bubble player at this point. If he isn't a plus in the field and his hitting contact is dropping off, then he loses value. Naylor would have gloved the balls Miller missed today.

This team goes as Jose goes. I think Jose's hand injuries have been bothering him at the plate and hurting his power potential but even with that he can make contact. He just doesn't have anyone to pick him up when we're facing a LH pitcher with our weak assed RH batters.

I love Miller as a bat off the bench that can fill in at a number of spots. I know he has slumped but the bat is there imo.

I'm not sure why Tito is insistent on sitting Kwan versus lefties almost every time. He hasn't looked great against them but he's looked better in LF lately and I just don't know what Clement is providing there.
That's Tito breaking the young man in slowly, letting him get some repeat success before he tries to tackle the big divider between lefty hitters who start every day and those who ride the shuttle bus, hitting bigleague lefties. Nothing wrong with this. Kwan will eventually get his ABs, he isnt a Trot Nixon.

At this point I would replace Miller and Clement with Call and Fry. Fry can play 1st and 3rd and Call gives us a righty to take Clement's LF duties. Neither guy is so important that he has to play every day at Columbus. Just a band-aid and not what they really need but this isn't doing Miller, Clement, or the other 24 any good the way it is.
