Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Will be interesting to see between Planez and Rodriguez who they promote to Akron. Planez was the No brainer 2 months ago, but considering now Rodriguez with both his recent last 30 game production and 2 years senior to Planez…I predict he gets the nod over Planez.

Is Micah Pries to Columbus next with Bradley being outright released?
I would say JRod since he has a better statline plus he spent a month at LC last year.

Rocchio is the same age as Valera and has more games and PAs at AA than Valera.

With Freeman now in Cleveland, there is no need to share at bats with Arias.

Whatever arguments there are for Valera's promotion, they apply to Rocchio.

Arias began in AAA at 21 yrs old.

I’d want Rocchio to get the most at bats and play time, not split time with Arias.

Here’s to Petey Halpin getting the promo to AA.
agree with the intent of these two statements...

Arias has had a cup of coffee / taste of MLB... He's in AAA ball.. by managing his service time while allowing him daily AB's, he should be able to confirm his status as a bona fide blue chip prospect.. with six plus years of control at the ML level.

Same with Rocchio.. but, one year back or further removed.. These guys, Freeman, Rocchio and Arias could remain together as Cleveland baseball elites nearly through the end of the decade, if planned for and executed, properly..

...it's what CleFO does..

Nine prospects in MLB's top 100 and that does not include Brennan, who is hitting .340 at AAA or Bibee, who has a 1.71 ERA in six starts at Akron.

Whoa.

Brennan hasn't even been included in our top 30 list for most places. I mean Kwan wasn't either until very late in 21... Bibee ans Brennan both should be getting solid attention from what Bieber and Kwan have done for us...

I think both should be in Cleveland's top 10. Here's how I would rank them.
1. Espino
2. Williams
3. Naylor
4. Valera(for now)
5. Bibee
6. Rocchio
7. Brennan
8. Cantillo
9. Allen
10. Freeman

Just for fun killing time in my last hour.

Age 20 season (or High A season) for all of the current or once top 100 rated middle infield prospects in the Guardians organization:

Amed Rosario: 120 GP split between A+ and AA, .324/.374/.459 slash (.833 OPS)
Andres Gimenez: 117 GP in AA, .250/.309/.387 slash (.696 OPS)
Gabriel Arias: age 19 (20 season cancelled due to Covid) 120 GP in A+, .302/.339/.470 slash (.809 OPS)
Tyler Freeman: 123 GP split between A and A+, .306/.368/.410 split (.778 OPS)
Brayan Rocchio: 108 GP split between A+ and AA, .277/.346/.460 slash, (.807 OPS)

Angel Martinez this year in A+ at 20 to this point: 68 GP, .291/.397/.481 slash (.878 OPS)

Plays a solid SS but is very good at 2B. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end the season in Akron either. Absolutely a top 100 prospect and easily a top 10 system guy too.

I get the point you are looking to make but this guy is cool too, especially if the robots are coming :chuckle:! It's a real shame he hasn't been able to take a step in the walk to strikeout ratio and I understand he's the least likely to stick long term but he's now -3.00 age differential this year at AA so I still like to give him some love.

I thought Tena was related to Juan Uribe? Is it just a same last name, no affiliation is listed on milb.com

I think he is Juan Uribes nephew

Rocchio and Arias wouldn't be splitting play time. They wouldn't be able to play SS at the same time but I don't think that's a terrible problem. We still have Tolman/Clement/Fermin on the roster. Tolman could easily be released and little lost. Could arguably say the same of Clement.

They will rotate both players between 2B/SS/3B like they have all season... They will get them the innings and ABs

Have there been no other promotions since Valera went up? They cut Bradley/Franmil and lost Call too. Plenty of spots that should be filled.

Probably wasn't even a week ago I was saying I don't mind Rocchio staying at AA just because I don't feel AAA exposure tilts any needles for him development wise as long as he is getting reps BUT at this point if some of these top end moves offers him a promotion to where they trickle down and add some shine to some of those deserving below him like Martinez and Rodriguez. Me as a message board button pusher, shiiiiiiit why not add more envy around the league.

EDIT - just want to add that I can't believe those twos' walk/strikeout ratio in comparison to some of the other guys we rave about and both came in as some of the youngest in the midwest.

Yeah exactly, something like 50% SS, 30% 2B, 10% 3B, 5% DH, 5% day off for Rocchio and 50% SS, 20% 3B, 20% 2B, 5% DH, 5% day off for Arias isn't incredibly hard to get done and it would make sense. I have Arias splitting between 3B and 2B just because Jose is so solid at 3B.

You just get them in and get them used to all three positions. You never know when injuries will happen so being able to play all three positions would be important. I mean maybe even get them some 1B experience as well. I know they don't profile there in a sense, but the best bats get into the lineup and if 1B is open, then so be it lol
