People said the same thing about international play when Paul George broke his leg.
Once my team-mate fell over when he stood up after having finished his lunch (we were travelling to an away game, the bustrip took several hours, and we had stopped for lunch at some cafeteria). He broke his left wrist and got concussion. I think it is safest if no Cavs player ever again eat lunch again.

Really excited for how Lauri is going to look next year. He is looking really aggressive and more confident in the FIBA clips I have seen.

We already saw a much better defender and more mobile player than I expected last year. He started showing some clutch shooting at the end of the year, absolute money in the last month. He gives us a big bodied 3nD guy.

I think he is the 4th most important player on our roster behind the big 3 right now
In these video clips Markk looks faster, more active, and more aggressive. Perhaps this is his natural style when given free reins. His lower body also looks stronger. Improved speed and leg strength should not only help his offense but defense as well.

That’s because Chicago made him bulkier and didn’t focus utilizing his quickness and athleticism. That was their biggest mistake and didn’t allow him to succeed in year 3 and 4. His defense became worse and didn’t really take advantage of his game. Cleveland’s focus was to get him leaner this offseason to continue to be quicker allowing him to move better both offensively and defensively.

I’m expecting Lauri to do really well this season. I loved when we got him for Nance because Chicago was not smart in how to utilize Lauri. This is going to be very exciting for Cleveland fans this season.

Lauri didn't have his best game vs Estonia, 18/9/1 in 29:43 of playing time (inlcuding 0/3 3p attempts). Finland won the match, but played exactly as poorly as they tend to do when being favourites; especially 3rd quarter was atrocious, but happily old man Sasu Salin did step up in the end and carried Finland to the win with his 3p daggers (he scored 20 points in all, which is pretty nice considering his first 20 point match for Finland was in 2009, and he has since scored 20 points for Finland every year in at least one match...). Highlights from the match:

Earlier in the day Germany won over Slovenia, which means if Sweden beats Israel today (at the moment that match is at half time and Sweden leads 52-38), Finland would be the first European country to get the ticket to World Cup; pretty neat for FIBA rank 35 country, and very definitively something nobody would have guessed :D.

glad he's doing well, but not reading into this at all. jordan clarkson looked all-world the other day.

Lori is who he is.

Not to try to put a shade on Asian basketball, but in the Asian qualifiaction group any NBA player is a super-star. Even Luke Travers, this years Cavs pick at 56 is considered a star player in the Asian qualification group :)

In the European qualification group are playing the actual NBA stars, Jokic, Giannis, Luka, etc.

He looks stronger than last season.
I don't think he's reached his full potential yet, He's got developing skills.

Game looked too fast for him at the 3 at times last year. I suspect things slow down a bit for him as he gets used to it.

I liked seeing him attack guys smaller than him around the rim. If he can draw some more fouls that would be great.

His issue has been in avoiding contacts in lay-ups. I wish now there's a lot of time since he had that elbow injury and shoulder issues he would not back off from contacts while finishing. His finesse finishing at times looks nice for his size of a guy - but with some contact he would get his ppg up possibly by several points.
