2022 Season - Week 1 - Browns @ Panthers - 1 pm on CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Incredible. I celebrated when we drafted York for this very reason. He’s gonna win us a lot of games

Ironically, if Watson is not suspended, no way is this game close enough for York to need to hit a winner.

Man Brissett is terrible
We’ve seen a lot worse.

No turnovers. Improved after the 1st quarter

Converted several third and mid to 3ed and long throws

Got the ball where it needed to be in final drive

Didn’t start getting QB1 reps until 3+ weeks into training camp and barely played in the preseason games on a team he’s new to.

Defintely has limitations and is not starting material under normal conditions , but given the situation he’s been put into and the totality of the game, let’s save words like terrible and awful for play that truly deserves is.

No expert here but it still felt like a loss, in that we almost gave the game to Mayfield
1) If you won the time of possession by 17 minutes and ran for over 200 yards, couldn't you control the last 2 possession to put it away?

2) Coach's decisions on 4th down is horrible. Unless it is a short 2 yards or less for QB sneak, you got a kicker that is almost guaranteed 3 vs needing another 30 yards for TD on 4th and long - not even 50/50 on converting TD even with 1st down.

3) Our secondary should be a strength but 2 blown coverages gave then 14 pts easily if not more.

4) I rather see Dobbs (at least he gives wrinkle of run) than playing a poor defense and having 50% completion for less than 4 yrs (18 for 34).

5) If you only have a 1 read QB, better teams will shut down the run and Cooper/DPJ .... let Bryant and Schwartz try to beat you (yeah right)

Carolina will actually have a pretty good defense this year should they remain relatively healthy.

Defense will get better. Browns won. All that matters. Just need to work on improving next week.

This is exactly where I am at. You have to believe after he watches film & gets more reps he will look better. Luckily our running game & defense will take us a long way.

Just gonna say it: after Baker settled down and the playcalling was adjusted he looked halfway decent...
...
... although he should straight up send a pajamagram to Delpit. Here's hoping GD doesn't stay this lost all season.
