something fishy about this.. Bimbo has been known to peruse the internet in search of legos for building small anatomically correct humans... i.e. lego children !! They're plastic forms!!.. not adopted children!!

Caught me lurking. Great post Bimbo.

I've been enjoying watching these pups grow up exclusively and offline in-person with my Dad this season. We drove from Nashville to Cincy for that weekend back to back with the Reds the second series of the season (nearly saw back to back JRam Slams) and from there, we havent missed a single day without texting about or watching these kids together on this magical journey this year.


Last time we did this, I was 12 years old and he took me to about 20 games during that magical 1995 World Series loss to the Braves.

This Guards season has been all about transitions, as he recently had a pretty serious health scare, lengthy hospital stay and now will move into my house once he's discharged in the next week.

So I came to lurk and learn some talking points from you pros in here so I can have some filler for what I hope will be the first of many long October runs.

Back to the shadows for me and keep up the great work in here

Start him as the DH regularly, measure his level of comfort at every infield position or corner OF spots on days you want to flex someone else into the DH spot.

Play him wherever you believe he can be a capable defender.

In theory I like the idea a lot--he hasn't been a PH much but I think he'd do well; I'd rather see him be a utility INF only--but I just don't see it happening given Rosario's contract situation. He's making $5m this year. Is this org going to pay $7-8m/yr for a utility guy (to keep Jose happy)?

By 2024 I think we're looking at a Jose/Rocchio/Gimenez/Naylor infield, which leaves Arias, Freeman, and Miller competing with Rosario (in theory). And that's with Noel and Tena knocking on the door. In the OF you've got Brennan, Kwan, Straw, Gonzalez, maybe Benson, and hopefully Valera. I don't see Rosario making a dent there.

It's getting crowded quickly.

And even if the Guardians move Miller (I'm fine with that) and Freeman (ehhh, not sure yet), we're back to the salary question, i.e., arbitration/extension, etc.

I thought this to be the case as well, but Bimbo informed me that it indeed was not the case. Bieber has said no to nothing.
