2022 Post-Season | Division Series | Yankees vs. Guardians | Oct. 11 - ?, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No worries. Some people got really emotional over the fact that Amed's numbers have been slightly above the major league average at the plate (OPS+ of 106, wRC+ of 103) and slightly below average amongst starting MLB shortstops.
How about we look at it like this...

This Guardians team would not be where they are at right now without the contributions of one Amed Rosario, period.

Put that into your stats, and minimize his contribution all you want.

We need to go back and read what we are typing.

Amed does this...Amed does that.... to help this team win.

(But he's only average, and his contributions to this team can easily be replaced next year by one of Arias, Freeman, or Rocchio.)

We really need to hit lefties better.

(But Ameds production against lefties can easily be replaced next year by one of (see the above))

We need to score more runs.

(But ignore the fact that nobody on this team not named Jose has created more runs than Amed, and his run production can easily be replaced next year by (see the above))

Our biggest competition for the division is Chicago and Minnesota. If we want to get to the WS, we will probably have to go thru NY again.

Ameds OPS vs Chicago this year was .853.

Vs Minnesota .981.

Vs NY .953.

His post season wRC+ is 112.

(But all this clutch production can easily be replaced next year by (see the above))

*********

Amed is not a star. Hes not...in Reggie Jacksons word...the straw that mixes the drink. But he seems to be in the middle of a lot of big moments in key rallies.

Oscar had the big hit tonight, but who scored the winning run?

Oscar got the winning hit Friday in extra innings, but whose HR got us to extra innings?

Jose had the winning two run homer in the opener vs the Rays, but who was on base at the time?

When Chicago needed to sweep to stay in contention, who scored from second on an error as part of a come from behind 5 run eleventh inning?

******

Money should not be a problem.

Our payroll this year is around $69 mil. (Per Roster Resource.)

Our payroll before arby will be $19 mil, including buying out Shaw. Our arby estimates total $37 mil, for a total of $56 mil...so we start $13 mil under this season, including Amed.

We have a new minority owner and we are gonna have an influx of cash from this post season.

We need to add a RH bat, not subtract one of our best ones.

I have no problem with the TBS broadcasting team, and don't understand the animosity towards Costas.

He isnt Vin Sully, but nobody is. Scully, like Babe Ruth, is in a stratosphere all his own.

They talk about the Yankees home runs and injury list...both valid items for discussion. They mention when a Yankee doesn't make a play that perhaps they should..again valid. They can't simply ignore that stuff.

They also talk about our kiddie corp, our ability to make contact, and the fact that many of our hits are not exactly line drives...all of it true. Heck, this forum consistently bemoans the fact that we live on 'luck'.

They've also made a pretty big deal about Kwan...who happens to not play for New York.

I guess I'm not into playing the victim when I'm not...lol.

Good morning legends.

If you've been living under a rock, just know, DAAAAAAAAAAA YANKEES LOOOOOOSEEE.

You have to, YOU HAVE TO, listen to the salty tears just running down Sterling's face. Yes you can hear them.

I'll just spoil Straw's hit, (in his childish temper tantrum voice) "they get the softest hits I've ever seen, they just get the softest hits Ive ever seen, IT'S AMAZING how many soft hits they get, they won a game like that just the other day, *chuckles* Straw gives them a little hope on his bloop to left"

Old fart cried about soft hits at least 10 times in the 9th inning call. He also called them the Indians in back to back sentences lol. Then he almost called them the Indians again and stopped, then his next sentence featured the what a win for the 'Indians' LMAO. Man said the Indians 10 times in 5 minutes.

I urge you to listen. If you're subscribed to the MLB app, just go in the archives.

These cocky entitled pricks need to go down today.

Couldn't watch game 2 and 3 live because I'm in the middle of moving. Blocked out all social media, told friends not to spoiler, Re-watched both as live with a morning coffee. Two comebacks, way to start both days. Lovely

Ump tried hard to screw us, best Yankee on the field, can't wait to see that shit show of a scorecard.

That and I'm probably dead wrong about Arias. Bring back this entire squad (minus Plesac), Rosario included. Just bring back Carlos Santana

Now finish them....
