2022 Post-Season | Division Series | Yankees vs. Guardians | Oct. 11 - ?, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What would you have done differently? The only thing for me was the Eli Morgan decision that was questionable. But today, no matter who you trotted out there, we scored 1 run. Anyone would have lost.
Arguably Tito's biggest whiff (it is to me) of the whole series was sending up Hedges to leadoff the 7th in game 1, a game we were losing... That call made ZERO sense.

And just to refresh everyone's memory after Austin auto-outed to start the inning - Straw and Kwan hit back to back singles.

Our guys had a lot of success this year and got great experience in chasing a division title, winning a playoff series and taking the ALDS to 5 games. There will be some changes in the offseason and the next waive is very close now. Plus we have an ownership succession in place. I'm going into the offseason feeling very, very, good about this franchise.
Absolutely!

Again, what part of scoring 1 run today did you miss? I'm not defending Civale because he didn't have it today... but our offense scored one run. ONE.
Knew it, he's a great revisionist

He's done the baby thing multiple times throughout the year. Otherwise, you haven't been paying attention or watching.
Not to that extent and certainly not that flagrant. It was childish and stupid. I can just about guarantee that Tito, CA and MC don't approve. It energized the Yankees and their fanbase while making himself look like an ass. It was over the top.

Started Bieber. Kept Civale as long relief in case Shane didn’t have it. But he pitched a 1pm game last Friday so was kind of on 3.5 days rest. He should have gotten the ball and we would be talking Houston imo

That's essentially saying if Bieber started we would have pitched a shutout because we still only score one run, unless Bieber somehow juices the offense as well.

It's was designed or at least Naylor was thinking it was firing up our guys. Did it work or backfire? Well, I think we know. If this type of behavior bothers you and others that much... I got bad news... This is only the beginning of the new era of celebration/attitude.

Yep. We will never know, but Civale was the wrong choice. Sadly the playoffs next year are far from guaranteed. Long, bitterly disappointed off-season begins.

And as a fan, I love that. I want that type of enthusiasm.

The way I hear it -- Tito has been outmanaged in every game this season -- this team won in spite of him. Seems....reasonable?!?
Tito is far from infallible, and certainly made mistakes, as all managers will, but also deserves a great deal of credit for this season. Glad he is with us...

I don't think you'll have to worry about that any more.
I think the plan is to bring him back for cheap, and if B Naylor does horribly we might have to unfortunately worry about it more

No it isn't. There has always been that type of player around. The difference is those that did it in yesteryear knew what would happen the next AB. Even if you are right. If it comes to that then MLB will have one less fan. I will not root for assholes and hopefully we don't see it that bad again. It doesn't fit into the culture of this team.

What culture, exactly? This is a YOUNG group that has ENERGY. I think you're misreading this team. They feed off each other.

I doubt it.
Well we're in 40 man hell already so it seems like the move there is going to be to cut Maile so we are going to be sort of backed into a corner and they love the catchers they know
