I’m more jealous of them. They are the team we could/should have been - the team that came out of nowhere to be in the World Series.

They had the worst record in the league, and in any other year (except 2020), they wouldn’t have even MADE the playoffs. They shouldn’t have even beaten the Cardinals, but the Cards’ closer had a finger stiffen on him, in the 9th of Game 1. They are like us, except they have a few high-priced free agents who hit bombs. So, basically NOT like us, since they don’t belong there, and they have a bunch of high-priced free agents. Not an underdog story at ALL.

Astros in 5 maybe 6. Glad Altuve finally got some hits. Our pitching and defense are to strong for Philly. I would have preferred the Indians to the yanks myself. Would have made it interesting around my house.
 
I actually like the Phillies chances at pulling something off. I'm obviously rooting for them because Astros are villains and the favorite.

But you just don't beat the Champs and the team that handled the Dodgers. Also sending Pujols into retirement. They can provide power at any notice. Should be a fun WS, 6 or 7 games.

All of those were great economic years for sure. So the economists are rooting for Houston, lol.

The Phillies were the last major league franchise to win a World Series, in 1980. As of today, they have as many World Series titles as the Tribe.

There's a huge difference between Philly's lineup and ours if we're being honest. We can pitch with anyone, but offensively we've got some catching up to do.

my coworker who is a big philly fan is not happy. He already told me he wont make it to the end of most games.
 
It’s October 28th and the World Series is like 2 weeks late….
 
Verlander got away with one pitch to Schwarber and now it looks like he’s in a groove
 
Wow, Verlander really spit the bit; staked to a 5-0 lead, he totally choked letting Philly even it up
