Game Thread | Game #6 | Knicks @ Cavaliers | Oct. 30, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In a way it’s amazing to see Love having so much fun with this current squad, with his talents maximized.

But it’s also sad because there was nothing stopping this from happening when LeBron and Kyrie were here. What the hell was their issue with him aside from egomania?

I'm just enjoying "Thriller" dude on the post game

It was a pretty risky move too because he already had 4 fouls when he entered the game in the 4th, which shows how good he was the rest of the game to play the rest of the way and only foul once.
Really like the buttons JB pushed today.

Tried to take Mitchell out for a rest in the 2nd half but quickly inserted him back once it was clear that we couldn't create without him.

Benched Caris, who was god awful on both ends, for Okoro and rode his defense. That type of move says a ton from a coach, and Okoro stepped up and absolutely delivered. Great confidence boost to a guy who absolutely needed it.

And the way he managed the bigs- obviously Kevin was unconscious from 3 so you have to ride him, but I thought he did a great job handling Mobley and Allen. Allen was just bad today for whatever reason, seemed soft and a step slow. And even though Mobley had foul trouble and wasn't scoring efficiently on offense, I thought he had an awesome game on defense. Just contesting everything, staying down on every Randle pump fake, timing really well when to peel off and meet his man at the rim. And in the 4th, he rode Allen just long enough to insert Evan, and then Mobley and Okoro locked everything down on D while Love and Mitchell hit enough shots to get us the win.

Could not be happier for Okoro tonight. Still a bunch of horrible offensive possessions but JB trusted him and he delivered. Absolute lockdown defense on Brunson aside from one time when he was faked out, and a ton of winning plays for us.
I’m going to get killed . Like him over cedi. cedi lacks basketball aptitude

Correction, Love outscored the Knicks 16-15 in the 4th quarter.
I see what you did there ! Love was on a milk carton there for a bit, too; nowhere to be found in the 3rd quarter

I think if given consistent minutes, Dwade can have a similar impact that Lauri had, probably even better shooting.

I love Wade, I was wrong about Wade when he was a rookie. Wade earned his contract, and so far then some. But I beg you to watch one Utah game, Lauri is their best player, Tonight Wade had his best game of the year and was only our 4th best player.

This isnt a knock on Wade, its more of a Lauri has been beasting, playing at an all star level so far. He was always the one thing we gave up that hurt the most. I do the trade 10 out of 10 times, Mitchell has been on another plannet for us, but Wade isnt Lauri. But damn has Wade been good for us. Just does anythign that is asked and needed.

Also think, soon Wade will be the 3rd person off the bench once Garland comes back. 4th when Rubio. When a Dean Wade is your 9th best player, you have a really fucking good team.

Damn, props to Okoro to playing up to his calling card and not disappearing in that environment.

KLove outscored the entire Knicks team in the 4th.

I don’t know what we did to deserve Mitchell but he gives this squad reason to believe when shit hits the fan.

Drippy Dean is looking like the unsung hero early on this season.

Kudos to JB for figuring out how to work these late 4th situations more and more each game.

Mobley’s ceiling is still as special what we thought it was before this season.

Love this team.
