Is a ring this year possible?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sorry not possible. Next question?

P.s feel free to quote this back at me if we do in fact win one of the most unlikely championships in NBA history

How the hell does 538 have the Cavs projected record 49-33?

That would mean we would have to go 43-32 the rest of the season.

Because 538 is terrible with sports predictions.

Well, we beat the finals runner up twice in the last week. I believe our starting five is top five in the league. Rubio will be a shot in the arm come Jan-Feb. Team health will play a major role.

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

Possible? Yes

Because statistical analysis has a hard time with young teams that take leaps since their mean is based off prior performance where there isn't much of a sample.

While we assume that of course the Cavs will be much better when healthy and adding a perennial All-Star, I think they hedge against that.

There have been too many young teams that looked promising that later did not meet expectations.

Health will matter. But all things considered equal I think we fare better losing one of our top guys vs Boston losing one of Tatum or Brown, Philly losing one of Harden or Embiid, etc. The sum of our parts is good.

Someone else mentioned physicality and that’s probably my only other concern. But I like to think the refs allowing us to get beat up early this season will condition our guys to dish it back well before we reach the playoffs. And I think when we finally find ways to bully other teams is when the blowouts will start to come.

Unless Giannis is injured in the playoffs, I think our ceiling this year is an ECF appearance.

Bucks look like a lock to me right now. 7-0 and their second best guy has been out injured.

I think we can handle any other team in the league in a 7-game series besides Milwaukee.

Yes

If Mitchell continues to dance around MVP level play we CAN beat anyone in a 7 game series except maybe a healthy Milwaukee

They've played a very weak schedule so far.

IMO, we will be Milwaukees toughest challenge. We can throw multiple guys at Giannis to rack up the fouls and have the length to give him tough looks. I would worry about our guards getting there's against a bigger Milwaukee club.

Not saying I'd wanna play them but I'd give us a punchers chance.
