League average ts% has increased so much since the early 00s. Its a combo of the increased spacing, better offensive strategy, and improved shot selection.

Tbh he’s shown improvement lately, but his TS% is a little more like Capela and his seven straight years of over .600 TS%. A lot of dunks and putbacks. He’s a much better player than Capela already with his ability on defense and adding little shots in the paint, and I’m not comparing their ceiling. just saying his current stats are more similar on the offensive end. He’s not yet Garnett or those guys who shot a lot of 18 footers.

His shooting percentage from outside of ten feet has gone down so far this season as opposed to last year. Passing hasn’t improved much either. For him to take a big offensive leap he’s got to become some kind of shooting threat and a better and more decisive passer. Right now on offense he’s a better and more efficient version of the same guy he was last year - which is great but he’s still kind of an opportunistic scorer as opposed to someone who can drive the offense. I know we have Don and Garland to do that but if he was more of a point forward and outside threat it would add another level.

He is, as of today, an extreme liability when attempting to dribble the basketball. At his height with his soft touch- it should be 1-2
dribbles max. That goofy dribbling between his legs shit needs unlearned immediately. Catch the rock in the high post and take the 12-14 footer, or pumpfake and throw the hammer down, or spin and do the baby hook. Those 3 moves are his bread & butter. Being faithful to those 3 moves alone (with the addition of lobs and offensive boards) could net him a 18 & 8 season.

Chill, I see an improvement in his ball handling.

The TOs tonight were absolutely shocking by everyone, but the dribble looks tighter. It's gonna come together.

I don't however like the guard centric offense that doesn't even generate enough 3pt shots to a team that has a top 3 shooting backcourt. I want more touches from everyone and better screening to allow that.

Or he could try to get better at basketball and not limit himself at 21 in his second year in the league..
Listen partner...I want giraffe to develop a holistic skillset as much as you do-but a man must know his limitations...

How about they leave him in during garbage time to play point guard all he wants. No need for that while the game outcome is decided.

Man I can hear the screaming now if Mobley gets injured in garbage time.

Look you guys need to accept that this team only reaches its peak if Mobley achieves his full potential. As a second year player that means growing pains. The 17th game of an 82 game season really isn't that important and a worthwhile sacrifice if it helps Mobley get better.

But we won, so it's not like we have to sacrifice games just for his development.

I don't mind him dribbling at all. I say do it all the time. I'm not expecting a championship this year, so I say let him get it out of his system. I could care less if we win in the short term because he fumbled a few balls. His instincts are good if he tightens that handle up, and I think that's basically impossible to teach.

I'm still beyond stoked at how well he's been playing. He set the standard so high we practically ignore his defense at this point and just focus on his weaknesses on offense.

Mobley is great and he is already a top pf.

He's been playable and impactful from day 1, had a bigger impact on winning than Kyrie did his first 2 years.

He's not Lebron, but I'd argue he has some of that high level processing of the game. The way he makes the right play so consistently.

His biggest issue is his skillset isn't totally refined yet. Vet players are taking advantage and guys are pressuring his handle. That happens to every young player

I can’t imagine what some people on this board would’ve been like watching LeBron brick pull-up jumpers and miss defensive assignments in his second season. The world would’ve been collapsing.

I think you have to give Lebron the edge over Mobley as a rook, but I don't think he was a more complete player. Lebron didn't pay attention to defense for years. Lebron was just an unbelievable slasher and playmaker. I want to say Evan's game has been more mature. I am sure some people will disagree with that.

I guess I'd claim that Lebron was more underdeveloped defensively than Mobley was offensively.

Cmon- Bron was already showing GOAT potential in the 1st 5 minutes of his Kings debut. Remember? That shit was showtime. He made about 5 plays in his first 10 minutes that Mobley will probably never duplicate in his entire career. Thats not a knock on Mobley...I am just illustrating it was a lot easier to be patient with Bron as he offset his mistakes with jaw dropping plays.
