Ventrone seems to be getting his wish with the recent few additions (Adams, Ford, Kunasyzk)..

Seemed like Preifer had a good amount of starters playing on special teams, so will be interested if Ventrone will want more specialized skill sets for some key positions..

One thing this does is put pressure on some of the rotational/backup recent draft picks Berry has dragged who is not only now competing for a defensive roster spot but also is competing with other guys for special teams that could put their roster spot in jeopardy — i.e. Fields and Phillips with Adams and Kunasyzk..

Adams played some WILL last year and graded out decently in limited snaps..

He took a step back in ST grading but was rated as 4th best ST player the year before with Ventrone..

I sense one theme this year is that the Browns really don’t want to be relying as much on younger players/rookies.

They seem pretty committed to adding vet depth options this FA.

And in past years it seemed like they were hoping more for rookies or recent young depth and draft picks to be contributors.

This year they want to be more sure there are more “been there done that” types on the roster.

Schwartz was one of the youngest players ever drafted at his position and on top of that didn't come from a full-time football background. We should be making contingency plans but I'd expect the team to give him a chance to prove he's progressed some. Expecting him contribute on day one wasn't realistic.

A no-strings-attached type deal will Goodwin makes a lot of sense as a contingency.

Once the local radio host is talking about potential trades... the hotline is growing cold. Seems like the Broncos have to change their asking price or get comfortable bringing their receivers back for another year under a better playcaller.

Can't help but keep going back to the fact Jeudy hasn't done much after three years in the NFL. He was the #2 receiver on the worst offense in the NFL last year, and that's not all on the coach.

Allbright is a moron.

With that said, Brad Stainbooty is repeatedly tweeting about Jeudy. And he has been okay thus far. The Browns interest may be real and the more time passes, the less the asking price will be.

Trading a second rounder plus for Jeudy would be a massive waste of resources, IMO.

It’s not the talent, it’s the why pay him when you can draft your guy who will provide a similar output?

Agreed, I consider him overrated and would be surprised if Berry didn't as well

Where there is smoke there is fire with Jeudy..

I do wonder if a potential compromise would be a 3rd this year with a conditional pick next year, or 42 + Day 3 pick for Jeudy and high Day 3 pick.. I have a hard time placing a 2nd round value on Jeudy but the Claypool trade likely set the bar..

I like Jeudy and having him on a cheap deal this year and 5th year option next year helps but 42 feels a bit like you’re paying for pedigree instead of production…

Question: Would you trade 42 for DPJ?

DPJ to date: 109 rec, 174 targets, 1740 yards, 8 TDs, 1.56 Y/RR, 14.3 ADOT, 6.8 drop%
Jeudy to date: 157 rec, 269 targets, 2295 yards, 9 TDs, 1.89 Y/RR, 12.8 ADOT, 11.2 drop%

Why's everyone hate Allbright so much? He was off base on Watson but this rumor is about a Broncos player. More reputable than most
Probably because he's an asshole.

He fires 100 darts at a wall and gloats about the few things he gets right, makes declarative/guarantees and then is too mentally fragile to admit when he's wrong about his guarantees.

Doesn't mean he isn't right about some things or doesn't have some kind of connections... but yeah, that's why people don't like him.
