2022-2023 NBA Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And I think some people are overrating both Phoenix (who imploded spectacularly vs. a mediocre Mavs team last year) and Durant, who is now finally showing his age and injury susceptibility...after a dismal showing via a sweep last playoffs.

The '17/18 Warriors they certainly are not.

Yeah the West is wide open. I certainly consider Phoenix to be the favorites but I don't trust CP3, Booker, and KD to remain healthy for the next 2 months.

The only teams currently 1-8 that I can't see in the NBA Finals are Sacramento, Clippers (if PG13 isn't healthy), and NOLA.

I could see Denver, GS, PHX, Memphis, and the Lakers winning the West.

Check Durant's stats. Phoenix is undefeated (6-0) with Durant. Durant is averaging 27 ppg for Phoenix on 72.3% (!) true shooting percentage. Yes you heard that right, that's not his foul shooting percentage, that's his OVERALL true shooting percentage.

You add that kind of production to a recent Finals team, nothing is stopping them.

Yes Durant is injury prone, that's his weakness. But his performance has really not dropped off one bit. He stays healthy, I think Phoenix is a Finals team.

A Nuggets/Suns western conference finals would be so fun.

People are sleeping on the kings. Their offense will translate better than people expect. I dont see them winning 2 series against Denver/Phx but I wouldn't be surprised for them to be spoilers

If the Lakers make #6 I'd probably bet on the Kings to take them out in the first round. Will be close but I think Sacramento has the edge.

If Lakers make #6 then #6 will get #6 game Lakers - Kings calls where chins foul elbows and refs determine outcomes.

Luka is fat and that’s about it… Dirk is rolling over in his grave….

As opposed Kyrie being a cancer?

Doncic is a top tier player in this league. The problem is that the Mavs can't figure out a supporting cast, and or the coach doesn't understand how to use him.. The whole idea that Irving would fix it was ludicrous on its face..

How do you hold Luca "responsible"? Or Kyrie? Or Ben Simmons?

These guys have guaranteed contracts. They are held accountable when they hit free agency. Luca would have a bunch of teams willing to give his fat ass a max contract.

Nearly six years later, Paul George shed more light on how the deal fell through on an episode of Podcast P with Paul George. “I thought I was gonna go to Cleveland,” George shared. “Cleveland was close to getting me with ’Bron there.” According to George, Dahntay Jones, a former teammate and friend of LeBron, played the role of middleman, and took Paul to LeBron’s house to finalize the deal in person. “I’m chopping it up with ’Bron, like ‘Yo, how can we make this work?’” George recalled. “We’re trying to figure it out; he’s going back to [Cavs management], telling them how to get me. So I’m thinking like, ‘Oh, OK, we might make this happen. I might be with ’Bron over here in Cleveland.’”

I don’t see the big deal about the Atlanta crowd calling luka fat.

The Wizards are finally trying to tank. Really wish they would have gotten into it earlier, it’s late now and they’re stuck in a fierce battle with Indiana, Orlando, and Portland to be the next team after the truly stinky teams. They could easily have had that if they had put in some losing effort soon after the all-star break! This isn’t just any draft, this is the WEMBANYAMA draft!
