2022-2023 NBA Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Knicks roleplayers are peaking at the right time. Glad they didn't pull the trigger on Anunoby. Would've been a more grueling first series.

kawhi leonard is often injured but he is still one of the scariest players in the league

I don't think I make this trade without LeBron's commitment either. We still weren't beating the Warriors with PG. PG was entering his facepalm chucker phase. Glad they did what they did. It's why we're where we are right now.
I can’t stand Paul George with his I’m a smooth idgaf player mentality and I’m glad too I’m really happy where we at. And what has pg done lately he’s old news

Great ESPN piece on the offensive explosion in the NBA:

One thing that comes out is that Lebron's innovations and example were just as important in getting us here as Steph Curry.

Well, crap.

Not looking good for my Thunder after all, with last night's Dallas win and OKC's previous loss to the Warriors on Tuesday.

OKC has the tiebreaker right now, but consider the next few games: Dallas has Chicago and San Antonio left, and both are home games for them. Meanwhile, OKC has to play Utah AT Utah, and then Memphis for their final game.

With OKC likely out of the play-in, I'll be stuck rooting for the lame Heat and old useless Kevin Love...or the Cavs! Cavs have more hope. Go Cavs! PLEASE crush the Knicks -- they're annoying!

The future is bright for OKC! Enjoy your ten upcoming FRPs!

No one is gonna feel sorry for the Thunder, or their fans. They GROSSLY overachieved this year, have 3 huge and spectacular young guards (SGA, Giddey and Williams), Chet Holmgren coming next year, one of the best GMs in the game and absolute best at nailing draft picks, and EVERY draft pick for the next 7yrs. Y'all are just fine.

I really don't think they over achieved. They are a really young and up and coming squad.

OKC had a really nice year while essentially redshirting Holmgren(who missed the entire season) and Dieng(who barely played).

There will either be some decent young players available from that team or some draft picks available via trade, because even with the 15 man roster and three 2 Way slots, they simply don’t have room for all the young guys currently their plus the surplus of draft picks they have.

Kudos to all the posters pimping Jalen Williams in last years draft thread. He’s legit.

Would not be shocked in the slightest for Philly to tank the regular season finale matchup against Brooklyn to avoid Miami if they have to (Brooklyn holds the tie breaker on Miami and plays Orlando+76ers to finish the year. It's unlikely for them to fall to the 7th seed, a win vs Magic seals it).

Cavs really could've caught the 76ers had a few games (vs 76ers, @ Atlanta, vs NYK) swung the other way down the stretch.

J-dub has been a joy and has taken a bit off SGA's shoulders with his power drives and dunks.

I think the biggest disappointment has been Dort. He's shown no improvement on offense. Shot is no better than last season. While still an outstanding defender, I think he'll start seeing even less of a role on offense next season.

A few young guys I see definitely gone by next year include Pokusevski and Mann. I've never been able to stand Poku and they did just fine without him for much of the season when he dealt with a lingering injury. Tre Mann is just an inefficient chucker and there's no need for him with all the other more competent guards on the team.
