Really sucks. Doesn't happen if the Angels had only honored his wishes and dealt him to the Gs.

So does he keep hitting then for the rest of the year or shut it down? Does this end his pitching? I would assume so, since he can't have TJ again after this and his bat is too good.

Trout goes back on the IL and Ohtani and his UCL... woof. Angels might be more cursed than us.

Really good question... Angels really have nothing left to play for and with Ohtani and his pending FA... I'd shut it down. I fear this will already effect some of the potential $$ he can get. But you have to seriously consider if he'll be able to continue to pitch long term. Buster Olney even hinted at that this morning saying his FA deal might be more incentive based for anything pitching related. But like you said, his bat is just too damn good.
 
Just looking at the stats and gotta say that Mookie needs to be NL MVP if he keeps this up - while he might not lead in any typical category like triple crown stats or SB, not only does he lead in WAR calculations but he has shifted over to 2B and done a pretty damn good job at him when they had holes to fill due to injuries. Not many OFs can do that to a team in need like that.
 
Renfroe is interesting but I think they’d pass after claiming Laureano. He’s owed approximately $2m for the last month of the season and is a free agent. I don’t see the upside like there was with Ramon.
 
I have to think the Guardians will at least put in a claim on Matt Moore
