Damn I’m really excited for the game. Hope they don’t make me break my phone
I'm of the mind that the NBA doesn't care if the in season tournament "means anything" for the teams, besides being awarded some extra cash for doing well. It primarily just is a way to add a wrinkle to a couple regular season games to make the long season not feel like as much of a slog.If they wanted this in-season tournament to mean literally anything at all - the winner of the whole thing should get an automatic playoff bid.
It's going to be business as usual for teams. Might even see some bullshit load management. I doubt the players care much at all.

I started being okay with the in-season tournament after I started recognizing it for what it is instead of lamenting what it isn't.
Okay, I think Allen will just be so-so tonight. Say 8 and 8 and a block or two. BUT, Mobley will be great: 20-10 with 4 blocks. He'll be so much better at PF than C.
Whoever is being guarded by Toppin better show up and take advantage of his porous defenseOkay, I think Allen will just be so-so tonight. Say 8 and 8 and a block or two. BUT, Mobley will be great: 20-10 with 4 blocks. He'll be so much better at PF than C.
Also it's to get the teams to not sit out players...trying to also copy the NCAA...but their inseason tourneys are more interesting ...and they also have their conference matchups..BIG 10 vs ACC...SEC vs Big 12...etc..gimmickIn season tournament is nothing but a money grab. They have even added
an $500K prize to the winning coach.
The whole idea is nonsense.
Emoni can only be there for so many games as a two way player. With Garland and LaVert playing it makes sense for him to not be there.
