The box score will tell you Mobley had a good all around game.

But watching it he was very bad on offense. Some of those assists were bail outs from a failed offensive move. Some were excellent passes. One was a simple pass back to Strus for the 58 foot game winner. He was rushing his moves all night and dropping the ball everywhere until Garland found him a couple times early in the 4th.

Also his defense while still well above average hasn't been nearly as good as last year and he's been biting on every pump fake he sees it seems, including tonight.

• Dallas is a tough guard defensively. Luka seeks out matchups via switch and the Mavericks spam him with so many screens that it can make it hard to navigate and communicate correctly. On top of that, their high pick-and-roll with a spread floor creates so much space for the roll man that it’s either four on three or three on three with the roll man being isolated in space to make the right decision.
• JB Bickerstaff was content either switching the screen or allow the primary defender going one-on-one with Luka if he was able to navigate the screen. It didn’t work well in the first half.
