2023-24 Season | Game #61 | Celtics @ Cavs | March 5, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I do not care.

Dude is coming off an injury that kept him from basketball for 2 months. He's playing through rust.
Bs his been doing this for years and his been back for weeks. I get he may be out of shape but throwing the ball into the opponents hand or out bounds is being a stupid fucken dumbass and forcing shit. I'm starting to question his basketball IQ in pressure situations. It's like all time bad like Caris LeVert awful but at crucial points.

Individual Stats.. Read them and weep, Celtics.
You got beat by the Cavs bench. 3 starters out.

Starters:
Okoro 16-4-1 with a steal and 2 blocks in 31 minutes. Excellent play from SF.
Mobley 4-6-4 with 2 steal in 23 minutes. Left with a sprained ankle. Not good.
Allen 21-12-4 with 2 steals in 35 minutes. Solid double-double from our center.
Merrill 6-4-1 with a steal in 30 minutes. 2-6 from 3. Not there tonight.
Garland 16-1-11 with 2 steals in 36 minutes. 3 very bad turnovers.

Bench: 42-15-9
LeVert 10-4-5 with 3 steals in 30 minutes. Solid play.
Wade 23-8-1 with 2 steals, 8-11 fg, 6-9 from 3. in 21 minutes. Imagine if he played 36! Mr. Everything tonight. JYD, MVP, mayor of Cleveland.
Niang 9-1-1 in 27 minutes. Good Niang tonight 3-4 from 3 and timely.
Porter 0-2-2 in 6 minutes. Not his night.

Basketball continues to be a game of matchups; if I recall correctly, we played well every game against Boston last year, too. Unfortunately, the Knicks are not a good matchup for us due to their physicality and Coach Thibs knowing how to exploit that. Unfortunately, our commander can’t seem to make the necessary adjustments to compete with them regardless of their personnel. (Could be our personnel just isn’t cut out for that type of play)

I'm seriously concerned about DG late game now. His a turnover machine and that foul on KP was dumb as fuck. I would sit him the last two mins going forward
Going forward there's no doubt in any minds with an oz of sanity that you let DM bring the ball up. We supposedly have a all star PG and should be the floor general and that totally disheartening

11 assist to 3 turnovers the horror!

I said what I said, buddy.

This post is why JB should be fired

A good coach can find a rotation where both can play together and get Mobley shots to space the floor
Like I’ve said many times, I am totally on board with a different coach for the future.

The issue is not getting Evan Mobley outside shots. This issue is that Evan Mobley is only a good outside shooter in theory. The testimony could be years away, if ever

Doesn’t matter the coach to me, for multiple reasons, I now believe that our ceiling will always be lower with both Mobley and Allen on the roster going forward than with one of them being traded in a good deal. I’m not even picking sides and trashing one or both. I just don’t think it works for this current NBA and I think we’ve seen too many examples that illustrate our roster and offense is better utilized and optimized with only one in the floor.
