2023-24 Season | Game #71 | Cavs @ Heat | March 24, 2024 | 6:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JBB's postgame presser...he's saying guys are tired and the tough schedule just caught up with us. He's downplaying the loss, essentially saying guys are just tired and it was a bad night.

Someone please post JBs interview when it lands.
Watching it now….”collectively it caught up to us “. “We had a bad night, we’ll be better tomorrow “ “injuries have caught up to us and we’re exhausted mentally and physically”

It was pretty predictable from JB. Nothing schematic is ever the issue, just the usual they need more energy to play harder.

I have not listened to this yet but losing this bad is pretty uncharastic of this group.

Being an NBA coach is an extremely lucrative, exclusive job. These aren't the type of jobs you should let guys "grow" into for extended periods of time. Investment is too high and there's too many other good candidates waiting for a shot.

The move, w/o any need of hindsight, should have been made two years ago when the 2nd half collapse occurred and culminated in losing both play-in games.

Injuries hurt the Cavs? Tough luck. But an NBA coach isn't the type of job where you get the benefit of doubt w/o actually earning the benefit of the doubt. The blame falls on you.

Bickerstaff has yet to earn the benefit of the doubt. And he's a lot of stops to do it at this point.

A major mistake was made two summers ago and has been compounded on time and time again and, by all rights, should result in Altman losing his job too.

Mike Budenholzer is w/o a job for fucks sake. The man has had more success than JBB in one post-season than JBB has had in all of his combined.

And at multiple stops!

But still, he got judged for his teams flopping in the post-season one too many times. Even teams like the Hawks whose best player was Paul Millsap.

Bickerstaff has been given a leash far, far, faaaar longer than his resume has deserved. And it's gonna kill this iteration of the Cavs.

Well there it is. It's the schedule's fault. It has nothing to do with playing DG, JA, or Don into the ground with 42 minute nights on back-to-backs or playing DG entire quarters while CPJ rots on the bench.

They legit quit today. Turned it off 2 mins into the 3rd, gutless performance

A bad director is going to produce a bad move regardless of who the actors are..

You don't let this coaching situation dictate your roster movement moving forward..

That's a compounding mistakes, and potentially setting the franchise back even further..
Ur not going deep into the playoffs if Darius Garland is your best player ….

No shot no matter who is coaching…
