Game 58 | Cavaliers vs. Hornets | February 23, 2010 | 7:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Once Mo gets his shot back.... watch out! We'll be looking at four guys who can go off for 20 on any given night.

By the way, I'm lovin me some Jamison.

Does anyone else agree with AC about needing a hard fought game versus an easy blowout to get things going again? I do.

I thought our defense totally sucked, we were waxed by 2 rookies but it stepped up in the final moments of the 4th and got the job done.

I saw glimpses with Antawn that made me squeal.....bring on the Celtics.

Everyone expected Jamison's numbers to go down but from the looks of it, Mo's numbers are going to take a hit scoring wise but his assists need to sky rocket and if they dont im going to question his PG skills.

We have a team LeBron can trust now...

It's because these five were on the floor at the end:

Shaq or Andy
Jamison
James
West
Williams

Those five are going to be lethal once Mo gets back to his old self and Jamison feels very comfortable. I don't really want to see Shaq and Andy on the floor together. It's not necessary with all the bigs we have now.

It's a win. It's much improvement as the D the last 6 minutes or so was damn good.

Yes Antwan has looked decent these last two games. I certainly hope Mo shakes that rust off by Thursday.

I laughed to myself a bit when Lebron chucked that 3 at the end because I know all of RCF collectively groaned

Once Mo is healthy ... that starting five is going to be SCARY good.

Just say no to JJ in the starting lineup. Let's continue to further Tawn's development.

at least Mo did other things on offense today, he was doing well with the dribble penetration and getting assists.

His shot will start to fall (I hope), but at least he seems to be comfortable becoming that 4th option and deferring to others.

When he was on the floor with LeBron, he only took 6 shots, made 2 of them and had 8 assists.

He's playing well when he's on the floor with Lebron and the other starters, but since his shot isn't falling he's just not able to lead that second unit that he was earlier in the season.

I tweeted this as well, but...

The Cavs gave up 40 points in that second quarter. They allowed just 39 in the entire second half.

Take out that truly awful 2nd quarter, and this isn't even close. But, that's why they play the game.

I love Collison, and I was stunned when the Hornets picked him up since they already had Paul. Good thing they did.

This is off topic, but if I were rating the rookie PGs, it would look like this:

1. Evans
2. Jennings
3. Curry
4. Collison
5. Lawson

I bring this up because I want someone to explain to me how the hell Minnesota took about 20 PGs, and didnt end up with one of those 5. WHAT?!?

Anyway, good win tonight for the Cavs, but this upcoming road trip is going to be a bitch.

Naw; I'm not worried about Mo. Some players can step right in after missing lots of time and not miss a beat. IE: Delonte. Other players will take awhile to get their legs and get their timing. IE: Mo It's not a big deal as we have plenty of time.

I was disappointed that Brown couldn't see a benefit of giving Powe a few minutes. Boston is next and Powe WANTS to play.

Whew, that was a close one.

For a minute there I was thinking that the Cavs made a pact with Z that they wouldn't win a game until he returned. This would be bad on two fronts. First, it would involve a lot of losing. Secondly, this could be considered grounds for tampering and thus Z wouldn't be allowed to return. This would mean the Cavs would lose out!

Anyway, glad to see this isn't the case. Let's play a game of "one of these is not like the other" now...

16
40
20
19

At least the defense is back to 75% of its normal intensity.

One other positive is Shaq continues to play well with Jamison next to him - 9/13 FG for 20pts in 31 mins.

Puts him at 18/23 or 78% for the last 2 games Jamison has started.

Mo's numbers took a hit because he shot 2-9. But he had 8 assists, so maybe he IS becoming a PG.
