What Z did was continue to try to recover, play, and honor his enormous contract when his injury was severe enough that nobody would have blinked if he decided to just cash out - and I doubt insurance would have covered all the $$$ still owed him.

Anyway, there are three ways to look at this if Z goes to Miami:

1) Players in general don't take stands when it comes to other player's decision, because they realize some day they may need to "feed their family".

2) Z knows what went on in Cleveland, still respects LeBron, and doesn't condemn LeBron for his decision.

If Delonte ends up joining Miami, though, all bets are off. That would signal something completely different.

I see your point that Cavs didn't do anything for him out of the ordinary in helping to recover. Most teams would have done the same thing, but the Cavs did give him every opportunity to be a major factor with the team.

In 2005, he re-signed with the Cavs when he could have easily went somewhere else to win championships. Cavs were not contending at the time. That is what I meant by potential glory. He is not well known at all outside of Cleveland and his country.

I've resigned myself to just being in shock at how hard LBJ is bitch-slapping the Cavs organization. I don't even care what happens anymore, the pure spectacle of this is amazing.

LBJ leaves in the most narcissistic display in professional sports and then lures the most respected Cav away from the team to join him. Jesus Christ, what a show.
 
Sad day for me as a big Ilgauskas fan to see him in another uniform. I certainly expected him to play elsewhere or retire moreso then come back after "The Decision". Yeah it sucks that he has joined LeBron at the Heat but not too many can blame him. He will get minutes and a chance to win. At other contenders his opportunities would have been limited. He is a competitor so he wants to play. Cleveland certainly didn't win him over this season.

Looking forward now to the day his #11 gets hung in the rafters.
 
I'm not at all mad at Z..my favorite Cav of all time?

1) The Cavs did trade him to get Yawn Jamison (SIC)

2) He didn't have a "Zecision" drama the last couple months, knowing all along the decision had been made years ago.
