would he ahve to wait 30 days like barry to sign with the team that traded him?

Can anyone remember what day you have to be waived by to be allowed on the playoff roster?

Deleted post. I guess there is a 30 day wait from the DATE of the TRADE, not from the day he was waived.

He just had to be waived by March 1st to be eligible for playoff rosters, and those don't have to be set until April 17th, so we would have plenty of time to wait out his time to resign him for the vet min. I doubt he would turn down an offer from us. It's the best chance he has of getting a ring, and at least he's familiar with the team.

I would sign Newble. He is legitamately useful here in Cleveland. He many never play, but still he is good insurance. We can go into the playoffs with a 14 man roster. We don't need anyone else...we really don't need Ira but we could still use him.

newble is exactly what we need. a guy whose a good perimeter defender that we could use if we absolutely needed him situationally. he wouldn't even need to get the minutes he did pre trade. we could use him like we used snow last season. he knows the guys. the guys seem to like him, and thomas has no place on this team long term. bring back Ira! after that, i'd like to see us give justin williams a try.

I'd take Newble back to finish the year. He's a good player off the bench that can play several positions, plays good defense, doesn't really disrupt the offense and maybe the most important thing is he knows the system. If we can bring him in and he can be on the playoff roster I would do it. Then I'd use the other roster spot on a younger player and try to develop him, Justin Williams would probably be my pick too.

I think they'd take Ira back, I'm just not sure he'll be willing to wait around. He's probably better off going somewhere else where he can get minutes to showcase himself for a new contract.

I was thinking how luke is alot like wally zerb. Anyone else thing wally could help luke skyballer turn into to a stone cold shooter. They just remind me alot of each other. Luke could be a solid option incase devin brown gets injured. We are a lil short on tall shooting guards. I say we get IRA and Luke here asap!

I agree. I can't believe how much one guy who has 9 year, reasonably successful career reminds me of this other guy who was a total washout in the nba. That's just how much they remind me of each other. You see it must be because they are both white or something. Certainly isn't their style of basketball.

Isn't Luke older than Wally? If he isn't he certainly plays that way.
