Must go for youth........Bulls are shopping Gordon, I would give them whatever they want almost

/\ /\ /\ Gooden for Gordon as I have said before might be a possibility

Gordon would be quite lovely in a cavs uni

Maybe Matt Harpring as a LLE ...he'd be a guy that can come in and be Hughes and Lebron's backup, and fill in if an injury comes up.

Nazr Muhammad with the MLE would be the guy that comes in and gets Z's minutes late in games, and could fill in as a starter if Z gets hurt. He'd be perfect backup for Z because Z's only a 25-28 minute starter.

If we could work sign and trade and get a point guard for Gooden we'd be in pretty good shape.

Maybe sign Tractor Traylor to a league minimum contract .... that would be a nice offseason.

Would it ever. With Harpring, Mohammed, Snow, Marshall and Tractor, who would have a better bench to support the starting five? And they wouldn't be bad, with Lebron, Andrew, Z, a new point guard like Duhon, and Hughes. Wine and Gold for Ferry's right-hand man!

here is a question, why would the Bulls trade Gordon to a division rival? unless the Cavs were to offer LeBron James I doubt the Bulls want any part of sending Gordon to Cleveland.

George, typically i enjoy your posts, but this specific one has me wondering if someone is posting under your name:

"I love MBenga....full MLE if we have the PG position set....he would be a very nice backup off the bench for Z.....if Z is still around"

you don't give a guy who averaged 5 minutes a game, 2 points, and 1 rebound the Mid Level Exception. That's how teams end up with the moniker "knicks". keep in mind he plays behind diop and dampier. if he can't get more then 5 minutes with those two stooges, its obviously because he has a long way to go.

he's doesn't deserve much more then hendu got last year. and i'd only give him that based on his age

fair enough....I guess the full MLE would be the only way to squeeze him out of Dallas because Cuban has his rights

but I can def agree to what you are saying about not wanting to give him that much money and you know what...You are right, my bad

I like Marcus Banks for about $3-4 mil/year out of the MLE.
He's a quick young PG that plays defense and is a decent shooter.

The rest is not that big of a deal to me. You can keep either Snow or Jones and I am not opposed to resigning Gooden unless a good S&T comes around.

someone gets it

i am not in favor of sending Gooden to the Bulls or Bucks but everyone says that is possible....I am not sayin it will happen but in the right scenario Chi-town could lose Gordon for a big like Gooden

I like Mike James as PG.

5.8 assists, 20.3 pts per game. Hard to argue with that. He's about to turn 31, still not too long in the tooth.

Basketball-reference.com compares him to Nick Van Exel. James would definitely make a good addition to the Cavs.

not sure if they mentioned how crazy the guy is.....but he is nuts

Mike James said he would like to be back in Houston.. He's going to give them every oppurtunity to get him first.

i like the thought of getting jared jeffries,i dunno his D is solid.

A guy i would like to make a run at, who hasnt been mentioned is Rasual Butler. I think he would be a great fit off the bench. He is a pretty good defender and three point shooter. He would be a legit guy, that could spell bron at the small forward spot and also allow us to run small with teams like the wiz. Let rasual play three and bron 4, when they run caron and jamison together.

He is a restricted free agent but new orleans has a ton of wing players, so we may be able to sign him without them matching.
