With the 31st or 32nd pick, it's hard to target a name because things are so volatile by that point in the draft.
I'd expect the Cavs to take the best guy that slipped out of the first round or the best euro-prospect that needs a big buyout in 2-3 years.
Exactly. You probably haven't seen much discussion about 2nd rounders b/c we have no idea who will be there in the early 2nd round. Its one of those weird situations where your pick may basically be decided for you by other teams (based on who they didn't take.) Our strategy will likely be that of the Spurs a few years ago with Blair: Draft the best player available. If there isn't a clear-cut best player left, draft a high-ceiling prospect and stash him overseas.
IF he stays in and falls, Shelvin Mack.
Maybe I'm still a bit star-struck from the tournament, but I would be absolutely thrilled to get Mack if we don't go PG with either of our 1st round picks (i.e. we don't get the #1 overall pick). Is there even a chance he falls this low? I may be displaying some of my ignorance when it comes to non-top 10 draft prospects, but I really see Mack as a late first rounder... especially considering some of the big names that have decided to stay in school. If he's there at #32 and we didn't already draft a PG, I'd snatch him up in a heartbeat!
