it happened last season against the heat scrubs.. he didnt actually miss the shot, cole just stole the ball from him while he was spinning to make a shot.

Karasev will surprise people and will play a much bigger role than anticipated (may start at some point, or get big minutes off the bench). the guy is just too "nba-ready" to not make a splash. his shot is money, he makes good decisions, and has excellent court vision. Mike Brown is going to love him and will have a hard time not giving him minutes, even if he is just a rookie.

Dion will improve, but will still struggle to get a consistent shot. his shot percentage will increase, but not as much as we'd like. i think next season is when Dion finally gets his game together and becomes a reliable shooter. this year he will still be a bit inconsistent, but will show flashes of greatness, having a few 30-point games.

Bennett will struggle for a while but will come on in the final 3rd of the season. he will have a similar trajectory to Tristan, where he'll look raw and inexperienced at first, but will gradually improve a little each game. i think he will improve faster than Tristan, though. Tristan took 2 whole seasons to get his act together, with Bennett i think it will take just 1 season. Bennett is more polished coming in than Tristan was and already has a pretty reliable jumper.

42-45 wins. 7th seed.

San Antonio game last year. Even though Dion had the hot hand, Kyrie got the ball and missed either the game-winner or the bucket to force overtime.

1. Cavs go 58-34 and get 6th seed.
2. Kyrie Irving wins MVP
3. Anthony Bennett wins ROY while leading rookies in rebounds
4. Mike Brown wins coach of the year
5. Tristan Thompson wins most improved player
6. Jarrett Jack wins 6th man of year
7. Kyrie wins All-star game MVP and gets into NBA all first team
8. Cavs at least win one playoff series
9. Andrew Bynum comes back for tomorrow's game and plays 55+ games
10. Anderson Varejao averages 14 pts / rbs and gets into nba third team and makes it to the eastern conference all star team while coming in second in defensive player of the year.
11. Cavs beat Heat on national tv on a Kyrie Irving buzzer beater.
12. A big trade happens at the trade deadline.

47 wins is my official prediction, and I'm sticking to it.

I think he was confused about how we'd win 58 games but only be the sixth seed. 58 wins in the East is third at worst.

Yeah, I know. Predicting 6 teams to finish with 58+ wins in the East is pretty bold though, perfect for this thread :gap:

Not to mention, last time I checked, there's not 92 regular season games!

Everything else I look forward to according to Winnersville. Except maybe the big trade. That's stretching it.

My bold predictions:

1) 47 wins

2) AV plays in at least 65 games

3) Tristian see what I did there? avgs. 13 and 11

4) In at least 24 games this year, fans will complain about Mike Browns offensive approach

5) Kyrie finishes 5th in MVP voting

ITT: People posting their predictions for the season.

I don't see making the playoffs as bold, in any sense.

I predict that I quickly realized how much I can't stand listening to Austin Carr and will not be buying league pass.
