2014 Cavs Summer League

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
we finish as the 3rd seed heading into the summer league playoffs. Having Delly leave is going to hurt our shot at winning. Apparently the knicks are the team to beat

Writers and team officials called for a running clock or the Mercy rule Monday afternoon at the Cox Pavilion when the New York Knicks opened up a 73-33 lead over the Charlotte Hornets. The 95-72 final score pushed the Knicks to 3-0.

The team’s play has been an endorsement of the triangle offense Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher are implementing in New York. Players are sharing the ball and fluidly moving the ball to the open man, which is a refreshing departure from the slow, plodding, isolation-based offense mainly employed during the Mike Woodson era.

Hard to believe they can run the triangle in a few days. It usually takes a good year to get players to run it well.

Looks like we'll see Cherry running the point the rest of the way..

There goes the Summer League Title....

In they could have been Cavs news, Otto Porter has been playing quite well. He is going to look good next to Wall and Beal.

Crap. Delly was the only one on the team that could dribble.

Maybe Lue can run some point.

But seriously, this could get ugly.

Maybe it's a good thing the game on Thursday isn't on NBA TV.

Without Delly, I'm not sure how we can beat anyone. But at least we can see Wiggins and Bennett again.

This is Wiggins chance to show that he's our starting shooting guard!

(I was only kidding)

Funny I watched the game yesterday and thought that Bennet was the most talented player on the floor.

Definitely. Noel is going to get crushed in the NBA. I think he'll get injured often. Bennett looks like a man amongst boys, with a freakish NBA body.

Cherry has shown some ability to handle the ball and set guys up. Knowing this could be his biggest chance to get invited to a training camp, I expect him to show out.

Noel is a talented player, but his legs worry me. He looked to be favoring his knee at times.

Noel has 49 points on 25 shots and may be one of the better shotblockers in the league the day he steps on the court. I have been surprised by how good he has looked offensively. For being so light, he's really hard to just back down because he's got really quick hands and disturbs the dribble when you're trying to back him in.

Hate to say it, but he's really good. If he stays healthy, we will have made a mistake, and I'm thrilled with Bennett's improvement. We could just really use rim protection and Noel is better than I thought he'd be.

Noel has always been the best prospect from the 2013 draft. That he looks extremely good when healthy should be a surprise to no one. But a bunch of teams passed on him for his health concerns and I don't think anyone will blame us for not taking the guy who's leg bent 90 degrees to the left with the #1 overall pick.
