2016 NFL Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Shouldn't be hard to replace his "production" from last year.

Listened to a few of them, saw bits of multiple games at various bars. He was barely average last year.

LOL...if you are looking at just his stats, you instantly lose all credibility.

You know the amount of pressures the MVP saw in the Super Bowl last year that made him look shitty? Teddy saw more than that per game over a 16 game season...his line play was that bad...you try putting up "big numbers" running for your life the second you finish making your drop...

Also...no one is going to "produce" with the current incarnation of Adrian Peterson in the backfield. He can't block, he can't catch, he can't run out of the shotgun...he makes your offense extremely predictable. You know when Teddy looked his best? When they ran an up tempo offense with Jerick McKinnon on the field...everyone just assumes that Adrian Peterson means you should be able to pass well...you aren't watching Adrian try to play in the passing game if you think that...

You are judging him on "production" due to the current fantasy inclined views of successful play for guys. Put up big numbers and you must be a good player...put up average numbers and you must suck.

Like I said a few posts ago...whoever takes his place will show how many holes caused by the O-line Teddy covered with his accuracy and pocket awareness...

Rough preseason for injuries... I dont even know who Minny's backups are. @BimboColesHair ?

Shaun Hill and UDFA Joel Stave...

My guess is they kick the tires on a trade or a signing if its a season ender, which by most accounts it appears to be...I think they were looking to trade or sign a backup QB anyways...Shaun Hill might die behind that offensive line if he has to play.

I never mentioned stats. You did.

You literally sarcastically said it will be hard to replace his "production" in the first post I responded too...

The fact that you responded to only that part tells me you have barely seen the guy play and have no basis to discuss him...I've seen every game he has every suited up for...by far the best drafted Vikings QB since Daunte Culpepper, but the team is not equipped or run to make him shine right now, because for some reason it is still Adrian Peterson's team, and the team is ran to suit him.

Fork over a second day pick and Josh McCown is all yours...

Valid.

I was referring to quoted post when you assumed that I was only basing it off fantasy stats, which seemed to me like a canned response because you assumed I wouldn't watch/listen to Vikings games. But you said it, this is AP's team so I'm saying the injury sucks yes, but the offense won't change much.

It will...we will revisit this topic in a few months, and trust me, it will...

I had to sit through the Rams game last year when Teddy got knocked out and Shaun Hill couldn't even finish his drop before he was throwing the ball away or getting hit, and they just stacked the box and gave Adrian nothing...almost cost them the game too...

No chance they do that IMO...bet they'll only go as low as a 6th...personally hope they go for a FA.

What's the sentiment amongst Minnesota fans about the trade?

I actually think Bradford is a decent starter in the right situation. But your pass protection...woof. And a 1st round pick for a guy of his talent level and with only 1 year left? Yikes.
