Yeah, that’s a fair point. It’s basically two late firsts, a young player with mild potential, Crowder, and salary. Still, I think it’s a fair return.

I think it's more telling with how flush the NBA is with PGs at the moment. Utah probably wasn't going to get someone in free agency but there seems to be more starting caliber PGs than there are spots for them. If Conley was a free agent he probably would slot in behind Kyrie for who teams would be going after, maybe tied with D'Angelo Russell.

Could we take on one of the OKC guys (Adams, Schroeder, Roberson are all rumored to be on the block for salary shedding purposes) for JR and snag the 21st pick? Feel like we could find use for Roberson or Schroeder.

Roberson or Schroeder I would do in a heart beat for JR and 21.

A trade of JR & TT (34.1MM) for Adams and Roberson (35.8MM) would work, maybe swap 21 for 26.

I just have a hard time seeing them give away Adams. But I think TT would work on that team.

how is it a fair return? The best player on your team for a mediocre role player, a player who was kind of meh coming out of college and had a crappy rookie season, and some late draft picks. Do you mean that's the going rate for very good but not superstar players these days?

For a very good player on a terrible contract. They got tons of free cap space and two draft picks. It’s a great trade for a rebuilding team.

fair enough, should have thought about that. Good as he is, Conley at his age on his contract obviously doesn't fit on a rebuilding team.

Indiana is gonna be interesting to watch.

Bogdanovic had a monster season last year and was one of the best shooters in the league.

But he's 29. And they just traded for TJ Warren and I'm going to assume it was in anticipation of Bogdonavic being offered a massive contract from someone else.

If they let him walk, they'll have a bunch of cap space and a major hole at point guard. Brogdon, to me, would be a prime target to throw money at, and someone I'd rather throw a big contract at than Bogdanvic due to age.

Feels like they're a possible destination for Russell as well.

Plus they now have one of luxury of being able to trade away one of Turner/Sabonis/Bitadaze trio for value elsewhere.

I will give Silver credit, he is doing what it takes to keep the NBA in the news and with how big the NBA is with social media I like the move. I will say this I think it’s sad that we have got to the point where saying owner is a bad thing, but understand why he is doing it.

Basketball will never be on footballs level, I think Silver is doing a great job keep the game modern and changing with the times.
