He’s just a realist, don’t even try to be as real because guess what, you’re not.
Just facts.
Oakland and Chicago are 1st tier?
Go back to the Browns section dude

I just don’t know how you can compete with the Oakland’s of the world.
I mean that rotation of Mengden, Blackburn and Montas strikes fear into the hearts of everyone.
Maybe the Indians have a punchers chance but I doubt it.
See you at the All Star break everyone.
Fine pick on OAK, the one team I almost didn't include. Let's hear your argument that we are favorites over BOS, NYY, HOU and LAD. Again, I was tagged in this thread. Hey wait til next year with the Tribe, right?
Second tier teams on paper never win so it doesn’t matter.
Who are the favorites?
Good enough for me.
I know you are a baseball guy, and some love the fact that baseball is so open but this is what frustrates me about baseball.
No cap so the rich teams are always loaded with talent, but every year their seems to be a Oakland team or Twins team that comes out of nowhere to be a top 4 team in baseball despite not having talent. Also the fact that the regular season is meaningless once the playoffs begin as talent isn't the only reason a team wins, luck has so much to do with baseball.
That and the fact the Indians have made the finals (World Series I know) 3 times in my lifetime and lost all 3 and went in as possibly the favorite all 3 times.
Man I cant wait until the Browns get good. The day the Browns win their first Super Bowl will be the greatest day of my life, and yes I do have kids and I am not changing that statement, lol
Sports work best when they're completely socialist.
However, teams can still rise up given the financial conditions before their best players reach free agency. Their window is much smaller, but its a window nonetheless.
Some teams get lucky enough to capitalize. Others don't.
The Indians just haven't been lucky enough to get over the final hump.
I understand what you are saying and you are allowed to like certain sports more than I like certain sports. You and a few others are a huge help to me as my knowledge of baseball is nowhere near what my knowledge in Basketball and Football.
That said, I get frustrated by the smaller window and the amount luck plays a part in baseball. Luck is HUGE in baseball.
