2018 Cleveland Browns Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For depth purposes at the very least, this is nice to read.

This is... surprising. Robinson has never ranked above the 36th best pass-blocking offensive tackle via PFF's pass-blocking efficiency.

The bigger problem is that Robinson has gotten worse every year in the NFL. He was overweight, then got injured, and last year was plain bad.

I think he was drafted and expectations were probably too high. My guess is Robinson maxes as a backup tackle, which will be his role here, so that works out.

Spot on stuff as always from PFF. Guy looked great last night!

Both the Bills and Giants have sub-par edge rush. Philly is markedly better with a very good scheme. Simply put, Robinson won't look as good as he did those first two preseason games but won't look as bad as last night on a week-to-week basis. I don't want him starting but he overtook Shon Coleman with ease as the swing tackle.

Right now the new motorized tackling dummies have overtook Shon as the swing tackle, not a great accomplishment.

I don't want to jinx us, but this has been one of the healthiest training camps in recent years. Instead of the usual rows of guys on stationary bikes, almost everyone has been ready and available for most of the practices and preseason games. Except for the Howard Wilson repeat injury, there have been no devastating problems that look to effect the regular season. Devalve and Zeitler missed weeks, but with Zeitler back in practice, the Browns are close to 100 percent as of now. It seems every previous year has featured one or two major knee blowouts as well as numerous muscle pulls and strains. The training staff seems to have a solid plan and maybe I have to (reluctantly) give Hue a little credit for his strategy. With only one game before the season with few starters playing, it looks like the healthiest start to the season in quite a while. Only the Gennard Avery situation casts a little shadow on the season's start.

Marqise Lee is down with a knee injury in Jacksonville. If the medicals come back negative we may see Dez Bryant on a flight to Florida.

DeValve should be one of the easiest decisions going into cuts.

DeValve: Hasn't practiced, scrimmaged, or participated in... anything. List of injuries is longer than a phone book
Cajuste: Literally played a preseason game with a separated shoulder and performed at a high level

Further mucking up the situation is Danny Vitale still not practicing. He has been out just as long as Devalve, and their isn't a huge difference between a fullback and what Cajuste's responsibilities.
