The Browns signed DT Brandin Bryant, TE Stephen Carlson, WR Shelton Gibson, LB Willie Harvey, S J.T. Hassell, CB Robert Jackson, WR Derrick Willies and C Willie Wright to their practice squad. Additionally, DB Tigie Sankoh will be a member of the team’s international practice squad and won’t count towards the team’s allotted 10 practice squad slots, with two openings remaining

So G. Rob won't be starting LT on week 1? Even if we sign him back before then?

The issue with this is that it's assuming we cut him to avoid paying him a guarantee.

That's not the case.

It's my understanding that the reason we cut him was so that we could place Forbes on IR AFTER 4pm so he could be eligible to return this season.

However, we still needed to clear a roster spot for our 3 waiver claims before then, so we worked out a deal with Robinson where we'd cut him, then re-sign him after placing Forbes on IR. And I'm assuming we will increase Robinson's guarantee for playing along.

Long story short, he should be fine to start Week 1.

Nothing regarding any of that would prevent him from playing Week 1.
