Better chance to exhume Bill Walsh than the odds of Belichick rejoining this organization.
Man, you guys are delusional as fuck. Holy shit.
There's been rumors every other year since 2004 of Tony Stewart (of NASCAR and running people over fame) running the Indianapolis 500. (For backstory? Tony has strong roots around Indianapolis and actually got his major racing career start doing IndyCar racing).
People would love to see it because they view him as almost some sort of "savior" to help the "500" return to it's rightful status of being a National sporting event again. (which it should be. fuck anyone that thinks other wise).
HOWEVER, Each time it's happened? He pushes back on it and goes "no".
...
Why am I bringing this up? Because that's the exact same sort of thing I see in the Browns fan communities with guys like Gruden, Cowher and now Belichick.
People dream about getting this thing saved. About some mythical guy with some roots back to Ohio in some way being the one that does it.
Hey, man. I don't give a fuck about the Indy 500, like at all, but let us have our delusional hopes for one night. It could take the next ten years combined for the Browns to win the 13 games Belichick won this season. Let us have something.
I don't deny that, it's just (unfortunately) fiction at the moment.
Reasons this won't happen
-You see the deal Gruden got? 100 mil/10 years? Yeah you're going to have spend more than that and spend it more than any team with it's hair up it's ass to hire the guy.
-You are not the most attractive situation. The Cardinals, Bears, Lions, Colts, Giants are all vacant. Giants and Cardinals are probably the two leaders in that clubhouse. Hell the Packers job, Broncos and the Dolphins job might be available as well.
-How do we know if this is true? How do we know that Bill, Brady, and Kraft aren't just laughing their asses off?
-Those other names I just listed with vacanies? Have all fired their head coaches. All of them. You still employ Hue Jackson.
I was told I have a better chance banging Kate Upton than Bill coaching/coming back to the Browns. Let’s put this one to bed.
There's zero chance Belichick comes here, obviously, but the bolded is still inherently false.
Since we are suddenly talking about averages, percentages, and inherent falsehoods here... You know that it's been almost a month since Hue Jackson was confirmed as the Browns head coach in 2018, yet this thread is still popping everyday.
Amazing. I'm hoping the celebration tomorrow provides closure.
Ugh, don't get me started on that stupid thing lol.
