Him missing Rutgers or Maryland does little to hurt his heisman chances. Him sitting vs a good team would hurt way more.
From a statistics perspective it does not.

From the standpoint that the entire block of Heisman voters are going to write him off, it does.

Its a bad take, he had very little chance before this. He has none now, and OSU likely is going to cut the financial backing from his campaign.

Nah, his Heisman campaign is done.

The voters were already a reach to vote for a defender, but this would remove most of the doubt. Especially on the early ballots.
A defense only player isn’t winning the heisman anytime soon. Woodson only won because he played offense and returned punts.

Best they can do is get invited and I bet he still does.

He never had a chance to win.

And if heisman voters discount him for missing a meaningless game, it shows how meaningless the award is.

The opponent doesn’t matter. He’s a defensive player that is serving a suspension for violating NCAA rules. Its over

The Heisman thing was almost nearly impossible anyway. He was hon a have to get like 2+ sacks every game and explode against Penn State and Michigan and even then..

I mean Woodson is the only primarily defensive player to win it and even then the dude returned kicks and played some offense and scored touchdowns. Voters are just stupid.

I still say that if he plays vs psu, Michigan and the B1G game, he gets invited.

NCAA has some of the most ass-backwards rules I've ever seen.

As long as he's back for Penn State, I don't care a whole lot. National media (outside of the SEC folks who hope he's done) is tearing the NCAA apart. Doubt the suspension lasts past Rutgers as long as nothing else comes out.

“Family friend” who loaned money to Chase Young is an agent

Sounds like PFT is off on this....

If Klatt is correct, I'm confused as to what the violation even is......
