2019 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Oh, and the championship game will be in Louisiana.

Gotta make sure that it would pretty much be a home game for whatever SEC team makes the champ game.

If we are in LA for the natty it will be jammed with buckeye fans who cares.

Lets fuck clemson up

What a total fucking fraud of a system. Keep the playoff system but go back to the BCS model of ranking teams. Give me computers with no bias over a room of old ass men with an agenda. Ohio State wins three straight games over top 15 teams, one of which they had to beat a second time, with an average margin of victory of 17 points, and they drop for... reasons.

LSU gave up 38 to Vandy and 37 to Ole Miss.

Today would’ve been a perfect opportunity for the committee to make a statement about playing a 9 game conference schedule and not scheduling FCS cupcakes in late November. But those fucking idiots couldn’t even do that right. Frauds. All of them.

Gene Smith should cancel the Oregon non conference game next year and schedule Youngstown fucking State.

We're devalued once again when we finally show weakness. Why make OSU number one for two weeks and drop them for winning. All because of the first half? What about the second?

All season, all the haters were saying let's see how they handle adversity. We show how we can, and we drop a spot for it.

27-0 second half. What a joke.

we just couldn’t afford to show it on the day lsu was eviscerating the committees number four team.

Sucks.

Will piss myself laughing if Oklahoma upsets LSU round one.

You know it wouldn’t be THAT insane; Riley might be able to find the kinks in that defense that surrendered 600 to Ole Miss; OU’s defensive line has looked pretty good too. Hurts is pretty dangerous on the ground also; might not be as much of a gimme

As an Oklahoma fan i have zero faith in hurts to put together a full good game. Not sure he has done it since beginning of the season.

But would love if he proved me wrong

LSU gave up the following point totals this season:
- 38 to Vanderbilt (#123 offense)
- 41 to Alabama and hobbled Tua (#7 offense)
- 37 to Ole Miss (#29 offense)

Oklahoma is the #2 offense (by 0.2 YPG), and Hurts isn't going to be hobbled like Tua was.

Game could be an absolute shootout, because both defenses are poor (relative to how good the teams are).

Really think OU is gonna come in with a chip on their shoulder and come out swinging in a few weeks. Everyone is calling this a three horse race, and that the fourth seed is essentially a bye. And that’s understandable, given how overall dominant the three top teams have been on their way to staying undefeated, including the defending champion Clemson team that’s won 28 straight.

We’ll see how they handle everyone writing them off. I don’t think LSU’s defense has all of a sudden “figured it out” or anything like that - they’ve dominated two games against Texas A&M (lol) and a depleted Georgia team that shouldn’t have been fourth to begin with, other than the committee wanting justification for potentially two SEC teams in the playoffs after Bama got knocked out.

Hope LSU gets upset and we beat Clemson. Shitty but not surprising. Guess I was right a few weeks ago when I said to prepare for Clemson because we were gonna get fucked by the SEC title game.

Also hasn’t LSU won all their natties in New Orleans?

Congratulations to LSU by the way for holding the #60 offense in the country to 10 points yesterday. Glad that was the reason they got bumped over a team that beat three straight top-15 teams by 10+.
