2019 Draft, Pick #30 - Kevin Porter Jr., USC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The decent person in me hopes KPJ can reach himself or allow himself to be reach by others in a way that brings him peace and stability.

But after seeing mention of an “object” being thrown in the halftime argument, the insensitive message board poser in me, is praying for it to have been SOUP

Crazy how talented you can be but still lack common sense and accountability.

The lack of maturity and anger problems will kill his career. Maybe getting kicked out of the league will force him to address these problems, because he's never going to progress as a person or player if teams look past his issues and fall in love with potential.

I hope he can figure it out. The talent is undeniable, be a shame if he never puts it all together personally and professionally.

Serious Josh Gordon vibes (different responses, but same self destruction) - very sad

The fact that it was two players (KPJ & Wood) is a little different. I’m not absolving KPJ at all, but I wonder what Lucas said? KPJ definitely has anger & entitlement issues (bad combo) and it’s unlikely he ever lasts in one place for very long.

I hope KPJ is able to figure it out and get himself on the right track as a person, but I dont think this happens anywhere near a basketball court

I hope KPJ is kept away from objects he can throw. Christian Wood sounds like as much of a turd as KPJ, he missed a COVID test earlier and was disciplined (as a nurse whose been swabbed hundreds of times since all this began, I have no sympathy, get your ass to the testing window on time it's for your job). Sounds like the Rockets tool for keeping these guys in line, John Lucas, isn't working. Shocked I tell you, shocked.
