2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As I read the report ....
10+17 for the 5th pick is the core deal they might do.
Doing more, expanding the deal, to move Love to ATL, is going to be explored also while they're at it. Whether they can agree on what that takes is very unknown. And we weren't even told which team is more eager to add that, or if both have some desire, although this is an ATL guy so it's likely ATL sourced and ATL thinking/desire..

I'm not even sure what the Hawks give up for Love. Is #8, #10, and #17 even close to the same value as #5 and Love?

Paul Crane breaking this kinda deal would be....odd? Because, well, who the hell is Paul Crane?

It also makes 0 sense for the Cavs to move down 5 spots for a pick that was once on the table for JR Smith.

Seems like if Kevin Love is involved, a third team would also be involved, with a pick much closer to where we currently sit at 5.

For now I wouldn't take this specific rumor very seriously. It just doesnt make very much sense.

Was the pick ever on the table for JR or did we just think it was? Nets made a salary dump where they got a valuable young player back as well as salary relief. The swap made sense but was it ever on the table?

Also this guy seems to just be using the information Kyler said days ago. Clearly unreliable.

It was 100% on the table at the trade deadline- I can confirm that. The Cavs have their sights set on some other things with his contract. #17 would have been "fine", but the Cavs could just as easily get #21 from the Thunder if all of their preferred stuff falls apart.

Unless that third team was the Pelicans and the Cavs get 4 and 10 ,,the Hawks get 5 and Love and the Pelicans get 8 , 17 @26,,,or some combination of that.
Fantasy land I know but its the only way any of this makes sense.

Very interesting! I have no idea if this guy is a credible source or not? The Cavs must feel confident their guy would be there at #10. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took a chance on Bol at #17.

The Hawks seem to want either Culver or Hunter at 4/5 and Jaxson Hayes at 8. Theoretically, if the Cavs wanted Reddish, they would just need to make sure Washington at #9 wouldn’t take him and he should be there at #10.

The Hawks being interested in Love would be an interesting development, as I figured they weren’t far enough along in their development to be interested in a veteran, like Love. I guess they don’t see it that way?

So Atlanta would be moving up for...

That doesn’t seem to make sense, unless Reddish’s stock is higher than any of us realize and Culver’s is simultaneously lower.

With Trae Young & Kevin Huerter in place, the Hawks seem to need a SF. Hunter, not Culver or Reddish, seems like an ideal fit for what the Hawks need.

I wonder if the Cavs aren’t targeting someone else at #10? I REALLY hope it’s isn’t Bol Bol.

My guess this was leaked to see if the Cavs interest in Reddish is real. The weak offer of #10 and #17 for #5 then saying they would move up for Reddish is maybe trying to bait the Cavs to take Reddish at #5.

I think the Hawks really want Hunter or Culver to drop to #8. The two guards (White and Garland) don't make sense for them and I don't think they want to draft someone like Sekou or Hayes at #8 to just draft the other one at #10. Also trading back also makes little sense unless they can get future picks because they already have 6 picks in this draft.

The Love stuff could be actually trying to get another team so they can get a 3 or 4 way deal done. If I'm the Hawks I would want Capella over Hayes or Bol Bol. #10 for Capella could make sense but the Rockets aren't moving Capella until they can secure a star. The Rockets probably have to find another team for Eric Gordon for additional draft pick to send to the Cavs for proper compensation for Love.

when you say you can confirm do you mean you have an inside source?

The guy doesnt even have 2k followers, he's most likely just making shit up.. that stuff makes no sense

I wouldn't move down unless it is for 8 and 17.

10 is too far.
If the Hawks include the right to our first round pick next year, I think 10 and 17 would be reasonable. I place good value on guaranteeing the first round pick for next year (knowing it is top 10 protected but one never knows, especially with the new lottery), and any trade with the Hawks should include that item.

I’m assuming the guys who get paid to scout for a living know the talent and potential of Reddish is one of the highest in the draft.

He is a radio lead. Not the type that breaks news on Twitter but you never know.

As a Hawk fan, I am not the happiest camper trading 8/10 to move up at all but I am okay with it if it's a SF and not Culver. Would be livid if it was Culver.

That said, what's with the love for Kevin. His contract is beyond trash. I didn't realize it had 4 more years left with declining impact. That's not a positive deal at all. I would rather Atlanta pass on it although and just take Cam at #8 unless they feel someone wants to trade up to #7 and grab him. I'll rather 8/10/17 honestly.

Three premium slots.

It could always be based on other teams moving up in front of you as well. Especially if PHX thinks there player will be there at #6, they don't want to move back and Bulls may have a different value for a trade, that could always change things. This could be to lock in the player even if he could just fall to 8. Teams have to think about these things.

Those are not premium spots or the ATL radio wouldn't be pushing trading up.
These trade ideas have been in circulation for weeks and this guy pushing it is
just following that theme.
Cavs will not accept 10 and 17 under any circumstances. 8 and 10 and a 2nd or enjoy your weak willed Duke 3rd option and a project big who can't rebound
