a lot of possibilities at 5. I think the pick depends on what they think of Sexton going forward.
Colby White-saw him 4 times this year. Physically he is ready to be a NBA point guard. Great size and even better speed. But like Sexton he is a scorer and not a shooter. They are a like Fox from Sacramento. I would rather have someone like Murray from Denver in Beilein system. I would say Sexton is currently better scorer then White right now but wouldn't be suprised if White becomes better because of his size. White seems more of a true PG then Sexton. They can't start in the same back court but if you told me ur plan was White at ur PG and Sexton is ur 6 man I could see that maybe working.
Culver-only saw him once. Going to be a good pro. Understands the game and has good length/height. Not super athletic or the greatest shooter. If Cavs are committed to Sexton at 1 then Culver is a nice wing to play with him. You will need a good shooter at the other wing.
Garland--if they take him then they don't believe in Sexton.
Reddish--only saw once. I would say he has a higher ceiling then Culver but a lower floor also. He has the potential to be a pretty good scorer in NBA. I see Reddish being able to score 20 some a game. I don't see Culver doing that but Culver will be a better passer, facilitator, and defender. If u told Reddish would put the effort and work to become a better defender and add his ability to score I would worry less about his shot selection and not being a great facilitator. This would also make him easy the best player at 5.
Hayes--just no
Hachimura-saw twice also. I like him just not at 5. Smooth, athletic and a nice facilitator. I don't know if he is a true 3 for the NBA or a 4 who can also play the 3. If I knew he could play the 3 then he would be the pick over Reddish.
Little--saw him 4 times. Guy cant throw it in the ocean if he was standing by it. Freak athlete. I question his intelligence.
Romeo Langford--if he falls out of top ten he is going to be the steal of the draft. I've seen this kid play a lot in AAU and a couple at IU. If he could of come out after HS would of been a top 5 pick. He looks like a NBA 2 guard. Can shoot and get to the rim. I don't know how well he will defend and facilitate but he can score. I know he looked average at IU. I am being told he had dealt with a lot of minor injuries all season and could never get healthy.
IMHO dream scenario would be trading 5 for 8 and 10 then drafting Langford and Hachimura. Lanford gets healthy and is the player he showed before IU and Hachimura is a 3 then u have a nice 1-2-3 u could build on. All with different strengths that fit together and help the others weaknesses.
