Yeah I like Langford's defensive ability, but the hitch in his mechanics is a problem. Barrett is a bad comparison really given his bbiq and ability to create offense is lightyears ahead of Langford , but yeah he can't shoot much either but no hitch and easier to repair. No one was drunk. I said take it for what it's worth. Just what I heard. Also lol at Langford falling to 26 And just saying he cant shoot. Guess we'll see soon. Just for shits and giggles

One played for Duke with Zion and Reddish
One played for Indiana with um.
One played through an injured shooting hand that required surgury after the season.
Sexton does kind of stink as a point guard right now, but he absolutely has a role for a long time in the league if he's going to be a 40% 3PT shooter.
How well his shot creation for others and his defense progress will determine if he's a starter or a backup down the road.
But because both of those things are still very much questions that haven't been answered yet, it shouldn't preclude the Cavs from acquiring another PG.
Doumbouya has to be a consideration at 5 but even more likely the pick if they can pick up another pick trading down to 8 and 10.

Getting Sekou and Porter would be rock solid.
and negate the need to retain the pick in 2020 if they are pushing for the playoffs with a healthy Love and the improved version of Sexton Osman Nance etc.
You would be in the minority to project an Eyenga type raw prospect.Perhaps, but if we want to replace Sexton, next year is the draft to do it. To put it even more plainly, I don't think there is a single PG prospect that there will be at 5 that I'd take over Sexton.
Sekou looks tremendous against guys that might not be able to make it in the G-League. I don't see any application of any skill in those videos. His shot is shaky and I'm not sure exactly HOW athletic he truly is at this point.
I'd take him in the late lotto but that's an Eyenga level project, IMO.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Pelicans/Knicks/Cavs don't get into a 3 way deal around Barrett to Cleveland and Sexton moving to NO(obviously with Davis going to the Knicks). Sounds like we want Barrett bad. The Knicks are in a real real nice spot. They got FA that want to go there and a jumped the Lakers in the landing spot for a deal with Davis.

He certainly looks the part. I'm always wary of highlights for guys whose stats suggest they haven't really produced much, however. Obviously he was on limited minutes though over there which makes it difficult. You would be in the minority to project an Eyenga type raw prospect.
That clip was a few days ago 34 & 9 with 70%+ from the Field and 3 is dominant.
But if I have to hold your hand through the scouting process watch these against better defenders :View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8vykM-YOB0

Scrutinize the euro all you like, it's not like his competition is nba level, but neither are the majority of college players. His shot is fine and he shoots a high %.Noted NBA defenders like...Derrick Williams?
I still don't see any elite skill. He's running past and overpower players who are G-League level. He's not dribbling well, his shot is absolutely awful.
Shooting those rainbows like he shoots is going to be a nightmare to change in the NBA. He needs a total shot reworking. And if he cannot overpower and outrun NBA defenders, he's not going to be able to drive in the NBA.
He's extremely raw. Taking him at 5 or even top 10 is so extremely risky for a franchise that, really, isn't in a position to take risky prospects like Sekou. Sekou is one of those prospects that you take at the end, to try and finish a rebuild/get a high end talent from a piece of clay.
I'm not saying he will not work in the NBA. I'm saying that going into this draft and selecting Sekou before Hunter, Culver and even Reddish whom I don't like, is negligence.

Beiline will help sexton a lot.I agree Sexton shouldn't preclude us from taking a PG but at #5 it should only be Ja Morant if he slips or Garland if the Cavs feel like the gap between him and whoever is left is fairly large.
The front office should highly value passing and ball handling at other positions so they don't diminish Sexton as a player. Having multiple ball handlers is also becoming increasingly valuable in the NBA. Alot of good teams have 3 ball handlers in the starting lineup that can create for themselves and others.
