Clevinger really needs to stop throwing fastballs down the middle.

Thankfully Detroit sucks, but it's what's gotten him in trouble since he came back and it hasn't changed post ASB as I'd hoped.

His lack of command worries me.

No issue with the double steal, but Lindor can’t be flat footed in that situation.

I know Naquin's OPS isn't great and doesn't walk a lot. But man, he's red hot lately. Can we justify to continue batting him 9th?

Last 15 games he's batting .448 with 8 runs batted in.

Raise your hand if you would have believed me if I said Naquin would play in over 60% of the games and have an OPS of .825 at this point in the season?

Where do you put him?

I kind of like the set up of having Naquin being this red hot in front the top of the lineup, especially when Lindor is a run producer being utilized in a leadoff role.

Sort of marginalizes the negatives of batting him in that spot to begin with, but I’m not sure what the best long term strategy is if Naquin continues at this pace.

.825 OPS is actually pretty good. He has a .500 slugging percentage to help bring it up...he has been hitting for some decent power.

weird stat of the game,. through 4.1 innings Clevinger has 9 strike outs, but no one has stuck out twice. He has literally struck out the entire lineup exactly once half way through the game.

Edit, Clevinger just ruined that stat with his 10th strikeout.

This offseason, I was a huge Naquin non-believer and didn't want him sucking up MLB at bats. Boy was that a bad take.

I asked if he could have a breakout year on May 3rd and @Derek said he didn't think Naquin would be on the roster this summer.

Glad to see the guy's finally started to turn it around. Good for him.

Naquin-Carlos-Jose could work at 3-4-5. Drop Kipnis to 7, 8 or 9.

If the 1B actually tosses the ball to first rather than holding it and watching Freeman run down the first baseline, we're calling that play something other than "gutsy"
