2019 Series #34 | Indians @ Royals | July 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th

Plesac with the web gem of the year?

From a pitcher, absolutely.

I came up with two more impressive pitcher plays from the past, and both were flips.

Bartolo’s behind the back flip, and the Mark buerle flip between the legs.

I know Plesac isn’t an elite talent by any stretch of the imagination but organizationally it’s outstanding to have a guy like that to fill in admirably for as many starts as he has.

He looks like he could be a good fourth or a great fifth starter for a long time. Not even 25 years old yet. Not sure he has front of the rotation kind of stuff, but between his pickoff, athleticism, and just overall ability he has shown, he definitely has a spot in this league.

Keep taking care of business.

Is there a way to look up what teams’ records are against teams above or below .500?

He’s not a superstar but may not have reached his ceiling yet.
Hell Tomlin pitched for years for this organization. This kid can certainly stick with a rotation as a 4-5 guy.
Just a wealth of pitching in this organization. I love how they build teams.

He also needs to keep developing his off speed pitches as well, so there is room for improvement. Even if he ends up being what Tomlin was, that 5th starter, who was out of the pen as well, he is still a good addition to the team. I think once the off season starts for Plesac, he will work on development of his secondary stuff.

I said that kid had some moxie too him! You cannot teach that attitude he has on the mound. Most pitchers would have never went after that ball and in hindsight you don't want to cause of injury possibilities but at the same time, you cannot say when someone plays that way, it doesn't help spark the team.

I credit this turn around to Mercado, Plesac etc, the young guys who came up and just did what they needed to do. They came up and gave this team some energy that we really needed.
