Seriously... what was that throw to first? Hand looked like he didn't give a shit and fielding a ball and throwing to first was beneath him.

I'm probably seeing things that don't exist, but man... watching it live, it looked lackadaisical at best.
 
Thing is, Hand hasn't even pitched bad up to this point.

Both of his miscues have been in the field. Gave up a leadoff double to a hot hitter, fine. Walked a great hitter after a bunt to set up the double play to end it. He gets that double play ball and is too dumb/lazy to cover first. Then he has a bad throw on a little tapper out in front of the mound.

Game should already be over. Hand has pitched fine, but he deserves at least one error.

I don't think anyone has ever said that Brad Hand is on the 2016 Andrew Miller level.

Nobody in the game today is on that level. It was one of the best relief seasons in history.
 
That Statue of Liberty pose by Hand is a play that every pitcher gets run through on drills
extensively through Spring Training. Calling it a brain cramp to put in nicely.
 
Almost rather walk this guy. Hand doesn’t have him fooled
 
I’m honestly more surprised when Hand doesn’t blow it. Total reversal from first half of the year.
