This is nonsense that the NBA is forcing them to play it. Fact is the NA before sporting events is an old vestige of war and needs to end. Players are not required to be patriotic. Dallas did the wise thing and ended it, the league should follow suit. Instead they go in the other direction.
If it’s league policy and other teams are playing the NA then Cuban has to follow suit until the rest of the teams follow his lead.

lol. dammit, I had 2/15 circled on the calendar before the Cavs went into tank mode. now the Cavs are going to play the Warriors after that Nets dusting. SMH

that being said.... Harden as facilitator allows Kyrie to properly know his role and excel. I think he takes it personal going up against Steph. "LOOK WHO HAS DURANT NOW"

Nets somehow cut off 3 pointers for a little bit. Weird season.

The Hawks would be so much better if Young were as good as the metrics say.

He's no Steph Curry. The only reason his advance stats are high is because he gets an absurdly unfair amount of unearned FTs. His percentages are more than pedestrian.

Capela is playing like a monster, they've got legit role players, and aren't winning. He's not a star.
Losing Hunter really hurts them. He's legit been their best player most of the season.

The entire NBA power structure hinges on a couple of fragile centimeters of Anthony Davis' Achilles tendon...

Lakers staked their future on an injury-prone big man, it paid off last year but might be tough to build a dynasty around. Lebron has been averaging over 40 MPG to keep them winning with Davis out and now I bet he'll be out for a month or more. Even if the Achilles is not torn they won't want to take any chances with a potentially catastrophic injury. Hell, they might just want to try to rehab and rest him until close to the playoffs.

Other thing is that with Davis out the Lakers gamble in giving away the size they had in the middle at the center backup positions last year (letting Howard and McGee leave with no real replacement) becomes really important. Gasol looks kind of washed and Harrell is not a defensive big man at all, he's kind of just an opportunistic rim runner.

The Chicago Bulls are currently among the teams that have an interest in Lonzo Ball, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Though the Bulls haven’t had any discussions with the New Orleans Pelicans yet, Chicago is seen as the most likely destination for the 6-foot-6 point guard, according to Matt Moore of Action Network.
“Multiple league sources told Action Network that Chicago is (currently) the most likely landing spot for Ball,” Moore said. “That’s based on multiple factors, including the preference of both Ball and his agent, Rich Paul, Chicago’s interest in making a roster move and the Pelicans’ openness to discussions.”

Hunter has definitely been a huge loss for Atlanta, he was playing incredibly well. Most people's jaws would probably hit the floor if you told them Hunter is top 3 in BPM among Small Forwards. Assuming his knee is right, I'd imagine they'll bounce back when he returns.

Somewhat related.....It is painful to see the team we almost had. There is this alternate universe where we started our rebuild with Sexton, Hunter and Haliburton. The Hunter situation specifically felt a little unlucky for the Cavs, that a team would trade ahead of them to take him.

I don't quite understand why the Hawks signed Gallo to just play him under 20 mpg. Cam Reddish blows right now, maybe limit his minutes instead of starting him every night for 30 mpg.

I'm a big fan of Thibs.

He rolled up his sleeves and is in the process of changing the culture of the team. Everyone in NY is mad this morning because he played Julius Randle 41 mins last night... I'm rooting for Thibs to do it his way. It's obvious the lottery has not been good to them, and since they have the market attraction that they have and the willingness to pay into the luxury when it comes time as they have in the past, I say develop the culture and go shopping for your big fish should be their process.

I'm rooting for the Knicks

Clarkson is the runaway leader for 6th man of the year.

Been waiting on Heat v. Warriors since last season....

....and man. Steph bullshitted for 3 quarters and came back in the 4th and OT.

And WIGGINS is now looking like the second coming of Andre Iguodala.

Yep, next season is going to be some bullshit. May not win 73 but it doesn't matter if they have Klay again.

This "Giannis should have left" narrative is getting really hilarious now. People so thirsty to have the stars playing anywhere but on the team they're on.

I’m old.....I know! But I miss the good old days when guys stayed with one team and tried to reach the ultimate prize without having to put together “Dream Teams”! There’s something to be said about watching a guy retire from a team he played his entire career for!
