Nets just scored 146 points in regulation and lost...and I'm only a little bit surprised :chuckle:

the only thing that takes a little of the heat off the (TANK) loss tonight.
 
The Nets are like the Chiefs: they score so easily it gets in your head on offense. Makes it feel like you need to score on every possession
 
I am honestly surprised how LaMelo Ball has played. In fact he tries really hard and plays till the finish. Love the steal he took away from Embiid last night. He has drastically improved since high school.
 
Dallas and GS putting up 76 & 74 in one half. Jeez.
 
The Mavericks are not looking good. It's basically Luka and Dat Zingis. The rest of the West (including the Warriors) have a lot more going for them. Luka's still great on paper and a rare bird among NBA talent. But teams matter.

Why I'm not so broken up that we ended up with #8 because it likely would have been the same story here.

I don't understand who they are so much worse than last year though? I don't follow them closely. I know Porzingus was hurt to start the season, but he was hurt a lot last year too.
 
The Josh Richardson trade has had some very poor early returns
 
Zingus has been awful. He's shooting under 30% from 3 and can't move well anymore. No one else on that team besides Maxi Kleber can shoot. DFS is back to his career average, JRich is clanging, even Luka is sub 30%.

Their defense didn't really improve and their offense got worse. Luka magic isn't enough to will them therr yet.
 
On a different note, what the hell are they doing trying to have an allstar game in this situation? This has to be the dumbest thing Silver has done as a commish
