2020-21 Offseason Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Quite frankly, if you've already dealt Lindor and company, there really is little upside to not ascertaining the value on Jose Ramirez who will almost certainly be dealt next off-season or deadline in 2022.

You simply have to take advantage of this Braves system riches.

Not really a background of breaking news, I don’t think. And, if the Indians aren’t listening to offers, they are stupid. 2021 is a wasted year. If you are going to trade him sooner or later, you got to be prepared.

Braves have the ingredients to make this Tribe's cake.. soooooo-weeet..

Riley.. to replace JRam..
Waters to fulfill the OF need..
Langeliers to put behind Bebo as the backstop of the future..
Wildcards aplenty..

This is a good fit.. Interesting development.. if true..

At the BTV site in the last ten days, there are 8 permutations of deals involving JRam and the Braves: Trade #'s: 37729, 38279, 38280, 38286, 38763, 38789, 38903, & 39388
respectively..

we'll see...

No thanks on Riley. Can't hit enough to be a part of a deal when they have so many good prospects. He's proven in back-to-back years that he's just not very good against big league pitching.

-8 DRS at third? Nah, don't like the bat if and when he's forced to move to 1B. Non-starter as a piece of any deal.

Just let Jones take over 3rd, focus on the organizational depth of the Braves.

Waters (if not Pache) and Langeliers/Contreras, absolutely. Add in one of those pitching prospects in the upper two levels of that system. Bryse Wilson, Kyle Muller, Touki Toussant.

2022:
C - Perez / Langeliers -- Naylor
1B - Bradley / Reyes (DH)
2B - Freeman
3B - Jones
SS - Gimenez
LF - Naylor
CF - Waters / Rosario
RF - Johnson / Zimmer / "This guy here is dead"

Interesting...this means Rosario to the outfield or Gimenez starts in Columbus.

Funny -- I really like Cesar (excited we signed him last year), but my first thought on reading this news was about Rosario to OF...I like it.

Rumored to be 1 yr deal plus club option..
Cesar H plays 2B, hits leadoff & is a bridge to Tyler Freeman (or someone else).

Not very interested in signing Joc Pederson. I think he will cost more then actually worth.
More intrigued with trading for David Peralta in Arizona (if DBacks are willing)..
