I found it interesting that a former outside linebacker is coaching our tight ends and a former tight end is coaching our linebackers. Talked with a friend who played QB collegiately, mentioned it's actually easier than coaching your own position in some ways. The film you watch in game preparation the most is the opponent across from you. Learning the details of the players you have to block or cover tends to be a big part of your film sessions, making it an easy transition to coach the position you study so much. I thought that is interesting, especially with a former college safety as our offensively-minded head coach.
