Maybe if I continue to stump for him to I can speak it into reality, but Kris Richard would be my top choice for DC and it seems like Stefanski will have his choice of experienced, proven coordinators which is promising..
I don't know if there's a perfect candidate: Wilks' system seems to play well into the Browns current personnel but the defense underperformed despite injuries; I enjoy Wade's credibility and experience but worry about our personnel and his longevity; Edwards would likely keep the 43 look but how much can we say he's proven (his two years calling plays outside of Minny were mediocre); knowing the heavy lift Stefanski will have on his plate, I would find it a bit surprising if they allow an unproven defensive coordinator like Butler, Gannon, Burke or Woods to become the full time play-caller, rather I would expect more so a lateral move...
With how things are playing out, I'd say Klint Kubiak as OC, Gary Kubiak as AHC and Kris Richard as DC (with Jerry Gray being DBs coach, they worked together in Seattle and would help bring some additional DC experience) would be my ideal staff as of now...
I'm not sure who sticks around just yet, but I'd say guys like Adam Henry, Stump Mitchell (probably goes with Kitchens), James Campen and DeWayne Walker all have an argument for sticking on the next staff...
