2020 Browns Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Word is that Wyatt Teller is dominating so far. Pancaked Larry O and then beat Sheldon in b2b plays. The wide zone scheme might be a great fit for him especially next to Conklin.

Nice, where are you hearing this?

The fact that Dee Haslam is as involved with the daily operations of this team as she is is really bizarre. Odell texted her? Why would he text her? I would absolutely love to be done with these two once and for all . . .

I'd imagine that star players in most sports have a direct line to ownership. After all, that's who's paying their checks.

What's the problem here?
Just weird to me. I guess you just don't hear about players personally texting team owners wives all that much if ever. As long as both of them stay the hell out of any and all personnel decisions from here on out it's whatever . . .

I don’t mean this in a snarky way but how much have you followed the Browns the last 4-5 years besides Game Time on Sundays?

Dee has been as involved If not more in all facets of ownership with Jimmy for a long time. There are some wives of owners around the league who merit being called “NFL owners wife”, but Dee has been a co owner in operations for a while now so I’m not being PC when saying that in regards to the Browns, calling her the team owners wife doesn’t even begin to describe her role in the organization.

I'm on here every day so i'd say i follow them pretty closely, probably not as much as many on here, but definitely more than just watching on sundays. I guess i'm just hoping that we're finally on the right track and can start earning back some respect. Response is heard and appreciated . . .

I think you can follow the Browns as a football team and not realize that Dee is heavily involved with the organization. She has been mostly on the business side of things with the stadium, uniforms, etc. If you just read this about football and not read any of the articles about new game day experience, she might never come up in what you read or watch.

That really isnt bizarre at all to be honest. Involved owners get close to their players, especially their star players. They have an office in the building, they talk to the players, develop relationships and friendships. Clearly Odell likes her or he wouldnt text her, that is a good thing.

One of the most famous stories in football involve Brady talking to Bob Kraft saying he was the best decision he ever made...you dont think they had a relationship? Behind the scene a football team is very much like a business, with bosses and players developing relationships, friendships, mutual respect, etc.

I know insurance has come up when talking about potential reasons why the Big Ten cancelled their season. Does anyone think liability insurance is the primary driver of no fans in the NBA or MLB and potentially the NFL? My guess is no insurance company wants to be responsible for underwriting the liability of 20k of fans each week without examples of a working model especially with the lag time.
