2020 CFP Sugar Bowl | #3 Ohio State vs. #2 Clemson | January 1st, 2021 @ 8 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
From the time Ettiene scored in the first to Jameson Williams long TD early in the 4th, OSU out scored Clemson 42-7 in under 2.5 quarters, and that included Fields throwing an end zone pick.

Oklahoma better have some great backs for that dude to get lost in the shuffle. This is like Ok. State having Thurman Thomas as the only guy to ever keep Barry Sanders on the bench
As an OU fan super proud of the kid. Hope he can do the same thing to bama.

However there is a reason he got lost in the running back shuffle at OU. OU has some very good running backs, and Sermon was injured last year.

I know I've been saying Fields was hurting his draft stock this year (and last night really helped him) but I've now seen a new mock and Schefter both say that they think Zach Wilson will be the 2nd QB taken and that just.....stuns me?

He's had one big year and it's been against absolutely nobody. I get his arm talent is truly in the top echelon. Best in this class. But there's no way I'm taking him over Fields.

EDIT: It's quite a few mocks at this point. Again, I understand Fields had probably hurt himself this year but Zach Wilson 2nd?????That's a stunning move to me.

I know but literally yesterday Schefter said he thinks he's gonna be the 2nd QB and then there were multiple mocks over the last two days that not only have him as the 2nd QB, but the 2nd pick overall.

CBS, bleacherreport to name a couple.

Again, maybe that happens but I just find it crazy. He's gonna look like a world-beater in workouts. He will show he has the best arm in the class but.....he had one great year against really poor competition.

EDIT: And along that note, I've looked at 4 mock drafts completed over the last three days and I didn't see Shaun Wade mocked in the 1st round in any of them. He may end up coming back.

Wade is inconsistent. At times he looks solid, but there have been far too many times he has looked abysmal. He is not a guy you can reliably count on to stop the other team's best WR. He needs a lock down corner to be paired with in order to really shine. He's a late second/early third round pick.

Wade is extremely talented, and will help any NFL team. But, I think we've seen enough at this point to know he's not an outside corner. I'm almost certain whoever drafts him will either put him back in the slot or at safety (maybe both), where I think he will excel just as he did last year.

It’s definitely up there with Miami ‘03, Alabama ‘15, Oregon ‘15, and any win against Michigan
Yeah...Miami '03 is firmly locked at #1 for me and probably always will be.

Before last night I'd have definitely said Alabama '15 was #2...but I'm not sure anymore. Probably need more time to really know.

But last night was literally a year in the making. Thinking about how fucked up last year's game went, to all of the bullshit OSU had to go through to get back here and get the rematch we all wanted. And then to just completely dominate them like that....shutting Dabo the fuck up in the process...this is at least #3 for me. Probably #2 though. This was really special. We righted a wrong, which is a pretty rare thing in sports, especially in College Football with the constant roster turnover.

Hopefully we have something left for Bama :chuckle:

Not overly impressed with any of these college QBs.

Doug Lesmerises had a good question: How does “Dabo ranked us 11” compare with “Because I couldn’t go for 3”. Will we be talking about that is 40/50 years?

Last night definitely belongs on this list

What, precisely, are you wanting to see? 50 TDs to no INTs? This is one of the best QB classes in a really long time.

I feel it's right there with the Manning, Rivers, Roethlisberger class. There should be 3 guys who make multiple pro-bowls in this class, at least.
