2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This would not surprise me given his slow release. Secondaries will be able to adjust and pressure will be a problem.

Really? I'll have to watch them more this season. Is Alabama projected to be as dominate this season? Any potential prospects for the Browns?

Bama once again should be among the most dominant teams in college football. They have one reasonably tough matchup this season in LSU, but they do get them at home. There are probably too many prospects to name at this point.

Jerry Juedy, IMO, is the best WR prospect to come into the draft since Odell Beckham Jr.. His footwork at the LOS, his routes, hands, timing, body control...everything. Just an elite elite player who I'd compare to DeAndre Hopkins.

Along with Juedy, you have Henry Ruggs and Devonta Smith.

Ruggs is a legit 4.2 threat, maybe the fastest player in college football. Imagine a Tyreek Hill type of speed and quickness, but with more size and toughness at the catch point. He's going to be a crazy value who can play all over the field offensively and a package nightmare.

Devonta Smith is their third guy, but also should be in the discussion within the first round. He's a blend of everything, but gets slept on mostly because of the elite elite traits of the other two.

Some other guys to take a note of:

Jedrick Wills - OT
Raekwon Davis - IDL
LaBryan Ray - EDGE
Dylan Moses - LB (freak)
Trevon Diggs - CB

CB Pat Surtain Jr. will be a name to watch in 2021, IDL Phidarian Mathis as well (though he's eligible this year too)

I do not watch nearly as much college football as a lot of you on here, but Tua's release looks painfully slow to me. I know his numbers are phenomenal, and he has great footwork, but that release really scares me. Also, doesn't Alabama have some of the best receivers in college football? Are they helping to inflate Tua's numbers?

Not to mention the Alabama line from last year would be a top 10 line in the NFL with 4 or 5 years NFL experience. It is the best line by far in college football.

Tiller (the head coach) was really before his time and put 3 qb's into the NFL. Brees was lucky that he had Tiller as his college coach, and probably why he chose Purdue after every major Texas program overlooked him.

Once again Purdue has an elite offensive mind coach in Brohm and will never understand how we dont get 5 star qb recruits wanting to go there especially since we have one of the best receiving cores in the country with 2 or 3 5-star palyers.

Out of all the sports related people i have talked to, Tiller might have been my favorite because of personality and he was just so candid.

I don't know anythign about any of those guys, so I have no preference.

However, I do believe our biggest need is going to be at LT, and getting a solid LT in the draft is huge because it lets you fill a critical position at a cost-controlled salary.

Maybe that guy should transfer, because to me, it doesn't look like he's got much of a shot with the hot ones.

Should have noticed that myself, lol.

I moved here to Phoenix after living in W Lafayette for 12 years. The first time I walked down Mill Ave, the main street at ASU, I was looking around and though...what the fuck was I thinking going to and spending all that time at Purdue,. lol

I will say it is amazing how many drop dead gorgeous girls go to ASU.

Going from West Lafayette to Phoenix is an embodiment of Newton's third law. :chuckle:

If we’re still looking for Safety by next years draft Grant Delpit is getting a lot of buzz as a possible first round pick. Generally doesn’t seem like next years class has the same depth at Safety as this year but there are some serious top shelf guys who should provide some serious value.

CB should be far better in 2020 which is great, and LB, while not amazing by any means, should also be an improvement. Ultimately we’re in all likelihood still going to be looking for OT’s, and it doesn’t seem like 2020 will be much better than last years which wasn’t great.

Will Delpit be there when we pick in the 30’s or do you think we are trading up?
